Introducing the 84st episode of the radio show OIZA RAVERS.

Patrick Was born in Vienna in 1991 and grew up there. He made his first experiences with hard techno in 2008, he started going to various raves and parties. 2011 started his first attempts as a bedroom dj. After a very long break and no activity, he started as a club dj in 2020 and was able to prove himself at a few club races in Vienna. Hardtechno has been producing for 1 year, he is very present on sc. Has released 3 eps so far. The last at the label "Drehmoment Records". His music is very driving, with lots of deep synths and bouncy basses. He was also involved in many hard-techno podcasts, sometimes he helps organize various parties.

It’s been a while since we’ve done one of these. The last time we put together a mix for an [nstbt_podcast] was way back in October 2020 for number 59 🤯

A lot has happened since then, and a lot has changed… 

We’ve been very fortunate to be able to share so much music over these last few years, and to connect with so many people.

What only feels like 6 months ago, has somehow turned into 3 years gone in a flash 😳

“No sleep till bedtime…” turned 15 years old last month. And we had our first party in a little while to celebrate. 

We’re in the process of organising some new releases, and organising some new events that will be happening before the years end.

I know this is the space where I’m supposed to be selling myself and writing about all the things I’ve done. 

But really, this is all about you…

I get to do all of this because of you. Even when I stop, you all still send me music. You all still want to be a part of this. 

And it’s because of all that, what once started as me trying to be the person that I needed for others. Turned into all of you, being the push that I needed to become the person that I am…

And for this I am very grateful 😢

This weeks guest mix comes from the "No Sleep Till Bed Time" label and event owner 6 Head Slug.

6head_slug is a Melbourne based hardtechno DJ/Producer/Promoter, who has been bringing his own unique blend of hard and funky beats to Melbourne's dance floors over the past 18 years.

The beat of the drum and his love for music has driven him from a young age, although It wasn't until 2004 when he brought a set of turntables and his first few records, did he realize that it was what he wanted to do with his life.

Since then he has been refining his sound, and pushing forward in the hope of inspiring others, preaching that 'you don't need to change who you are to fit in in this world...'

In June of 2008 he started "No sleep till bedtime..." A series of parties catering for the harder styles of dance music, which has since played host to some of of Melbourne's best local talent, and special guest interstate DJ's.

2023 sees 6head_slug more focused than ever, as he uses his [nstbt_podcast] series and digital labels to help push the harder sounds of techno in Melbourne, and to share the sounds of Melbourne with the rest of the world!
