New East London imprint Sneaky hit the ground running with a well heralded release from young guns Silk 86 late autumn and follow up with this luscious slab of euphoric, ambient at times, forward thinking house music. 

The lead track 'UCX3' is a drawn-out, gradually swelling, half-euphoric-half-pumping roller, Zubr is a haunting, mellow piece, featuring Joe showing his prowess on a 1960s Wurlitzer. The track is drenched in the accidental noise, pops and clicks involved in using something so old, and this gives the track it's comforting charm. 

Arguably the wild card of the release, 'Dusk,' stays clear of the drum machines, and paints a subtley epic picture with a reverb-drenched piano and folkey violin drones, all being driven forwards by an ominous pulsating Moog bass. 

Sneaky Music... 

With releases & another record label under their respective belts, Sneaky was an idea for a label and party cooked up by good friends Pablo Ranacat and Andy Bird over some serious late night partying, and epic mid afternoon steaks & red wine sessions and now a reality really seems to be finding it’s feet with this second release. Analogue synths and programming combined with a very current and London sound sets a marker in the sand for this exciting new label’s next releases. And with names of the like Nicholas, Rick Wade and the label bosses themselves thrown into the mix we’re expecting good things.

Luv Shack Records is kicking off the year 2015 with release # 15 - another blissful split EP, this time featuring Hard Ton and Daso, as well as Nick Anthony Simoncino on remix duties.

German producer Daso, who has originally emerged from the german techno scene, delivers two stunningly atmospheric pieces of modern disco on the flip.

First there's "I Seek", a dense and ever evolving synth driven disco track, with strong references to 80's pop and italo, whilst easily maintaining an original and modern feel.

Luv Shack Records is kicking off the year 2015 with release # 15 - another blissful split EP, this time featuring Hard Ton and Daso, as well as Nick Anthony Simoncino on remix duties.

Italian house music lovers Mauro and Massimo aka Hard Ton started off with two releases on Dissident in 2009, and have since then become the go-to production team for authentic acid driven vocal house with a classic touch.

Their first track on the EP ,"You Made The World Go Round", is a destinctly dubby slice of vocal house, complete with sultry stabs, piano and a catchy synth bassline.

"Keep It Closer", the second Hard Ton production, is a densely intstrumented house track with an array of chord stabs, hovering strings and a powerful bassline - tied together by Massimos intimate vocals.

Nick Anthony Simoncino tackles "Keep It Closer" to a darker place, tightly embedding the sparse vocals in a carpet of analogue strings, pads and bells - all driven by a percussion heavy drum machine beat.

Supérieur goes for round two after its relaunch in autumn last year. Some of you might be surprised that we're breaking up with the single release concept of having one original and one remix, but we believe the time has come to do so. Supérieur will be more independent in the future, with an own artist roaster and also with a different sound than the one deliver with Connaisseur. This release is by the highly respected South German producer and Dj Hans Thalau, partisan of the techno soul approach, which was celebrated for years by Russ Gabriel and his Ferox Recordings crew. It comes as no suprise that Hans and Russ are friends. Hans' “Soul Adventure EP” is a timeless affair. Three tracks full of emotional deepness and classiness, and probably Thal Communications mastermind best works so far. A staple of the new generation of Dallas DJs, Omar Mustafa operates on a broad pallet of club music from drum and bass to house and techno. His devotion to the culture and audience-focused background allows him the unique ability to adapt each set to the party at hand.

During the later half of 2009, Mustafa began his career working as a promoter with the infamous Afterlife nightclub. He found his love for mixing and began getting bookings fairly regularly. Since then he’s had the opportunity to guest DJ for just about every DJ crew in Dallas and at venues across the city such as Green Elephant, Wit’s End, Beauty Bar. 

His dedication goes beyond the art of mixing. Mustafa's start in booking and promotions has given him a unique insight on the amount of work that is put in behind the scenes. When he is not mixing, he can be found out and about supporting the local scene at various weeklies and events most days of the week. 

Omar Mustafa is currently affiliated with Motif Dallas and the Dallas chapter of M.I.A. - the largest drum and bass collective in America. He’s a frequent guest at Two:Tone’s drum and bass weekly and also weekly show on ActiveSessions.FM.
