Hi everybody,

it´s remix time! My first remix of 2022 takes a piano house ride on a really nice 80s song from one hit wonder Sidney Youngblood. Back in 1989 at position #3 in Germany this kinda  chilled house song came to my attention as a kid.

Many years later i wanted it in my DJ sets with a classy piano house twist so i did this bootleg remix. Its free for you guys so please support it with a like, repost or something else to help me a bit. Wish you much fun with this song and stay tuned for more new music.

The Fatback Band (later, simply Fatback) is an American funk and disco band that was popular in the 1970s and 1980s. The Fatback Band is most known for their R&B hits, "(Do the) Spanish Hustle", "I Like Girls", "Gotta Get My Hands on Some (Money)", "Backstrokin'" and "I Found Lovin'". Their 1979 single "King Tim III (Personality Jock)" is generally considered the first commercially released hip hop single.

Formed in New York City in 1970, the Fatback Band was the concept of Bill Curtis, an experienced session drummer, inspired to merge the "fatback" jazz beat of New Orleans into a funk band. In addition to Curtis, the band's initial line-up included guitarist Johnny King, bassist Johnny Flippin, trumpet player George Williams, saxophonist Earl Shelton, flautist George Adams, and keyboardist Gerry Thomas. 

In the mid-1970s, the band incorporated jazz elements and moved more towards a disco sound resulting in the singles, "Keep On Steppin'", "Yum, Yum (Give Me Some)", and "(Are You Ready) Do the Bus Stop". The singles proved popular in dance clubs, but did not do as well on the R&B chart until the spring of 1976 when "(Do The) Spanish Hustle" came close to the top ten.

Now recording for Spring/Polydor, the group continued with the singles "Party Time", "The Booty", and "Double Dutch". Late 1977 brought a name change to Fatback, and in 1978 they found their first top ten single with "I Like Girls". The song "King Tim III (Personality Jock)" is often considered to be the first commercially released rap single, having shipped just a week before the Sugarhill Gang's "Rapper's Delight" in October 1979.

My latest offering to you is a revision of Hot Chocolate’s excellent Every1’s a Winner - a tune that I must admit is a bit of a guilty pleasure… but it’s a brilliant tune all the same. I’ve beefed it up with a bit of fresh percussion, teased out some of the vocals and bass, and held off on that famous guitar riff until midway through. I think it’s turned out well, and it’s all yours in exchange for a few clicks!

Founder and DJ of "ALL U CAN DANCE"  at Mos Eisley(Stuttgart/Germany) 

Germany-based Sebastian Stuetz is the brain and mind behind the well-known music-project “Final DJs”. Besides producing and DJ’ing, he is also into blogging at Nu Disco Your Disco , a prominent base for Nu-Disco around the web.

After experimenting with different kinds of electronic music, Daft Punk’s album „Homework“, gained his attention thanks to its sampled and retro-influenced house-music. While playing French-house, disco-house or synthwave for a few years as a DJ, the enthusiastic virtuoso followed up by creating his own music-project.

“Final DJs” was born back in 2010 and soon after, several remixes for labels like Kiez Beats, Universal Music or Pyramid (Kitsuné).
In 2013 the single “One Day In The Sun” (Kiez Beats) which featured popular house-music vocalist Stee Downes went on to be played at Abercrombie & Fitch-stores worldwide while it made its way into the Beatport Nu-Disco charts thanks also to remixes by Teenage Mutants and Vintage Culture to stay there for quite some time.

The next releases were a mixture of house and nudisco while supported by the likes of Thump.com, Goldroom, Satin Jackets, Earmilk, EDM.com or trndmusik.de to name a few! Beside all of the releases mentioned above, Final DJs produced official remixes for globally-known acts & artists like Goldroom, Marcus Layton, Miss Kittin, Elton John or The Knocks.

Clubs like Kiki Ortaköy (Istanbul/Turkey), MyyyBitch Club (Vienna/Austria), Singerhaus(Basel/Switzerland), Wanderlust (Paris/France) played hosts to the energizing sound of Final DJs.

Also Sebastian crafted dj mixes for well known music blogs and radio stations like Data Transmission (UK), Deep House Radio Moscow or Acid Stag (Australia). All of the mixes have a total reach of over 300.000 plays worldwide.

Basti´s collaboration with Amsterdam Label SOAVE got him attention to a younger audience on Spotify where he already got a solid fanbase with over a million streams.

His music is colorful, funky, discoid with warm chords, guitar vibes and grooves. 80s influenced but fresh at the same time. Combines the best of both worlds – groovy retro vibes with a kiss of the future.

Before the pandemic FINAL DJS started to run his own Nudisco/House event in Stuttgart called "All U Can Dance" in the club MOS EISLEY where he fastly gained a big fanbase with monthly parties.

At the moment hes working on several music projects on different labels and is looking forward to bring back "All U Can Dance" in 2022 somehow.
