Two years ago I had a concept for a secret battle of Deltarune for chapter 4, it consisted of a dark world made in Lake Hometown, therefore it would have an aquatic aesthetics or some pirates, so I decided to compose a subject which consisted of a "nemesis" for Kris, which would have its redemption as passed with Undyne. Taking this concept now I wanted to adapt it to how it would have been in Chapter 4.
