Souls appear capable of persisting without a physical cage. 
Sometimes they remain beyond the biological vessel longer than expected.

I have also noticed their strange activity...

as if they are still aware.

If a soul can retain identity and structure on its own, does it even need the original body? Or more importantly...

...could it adapt to a new one?

This all leads to a larger question: What defines a suitable vessel?

Nerves? Organs? Cells? Or perhaps something else entirely? 
Something that only needs to contain memory, emotion, intent... Would that be enough?

I haven't tested any of this yet. But the thoughts keep me awake more than I'd like to admit.

Could someone be brought back if they are already a goner?

Just a reupload of an old song i made for my old deltaswap take, where Catti swapped with Susie. I ultimately stopped making songs for the take when i realised none of my swaps were logical and just led to issues, however i have been working hard recently, and some fresh songs for a new take are on the way!

Lord of the Hammer is a deltarune AU based on swapping chapters. The aesthetic is reminiscent of Tenna's boards game, and the gameplay takes inspiration from visual novels and adventures like Draw a Stickman, Ace Attorney, etc.
