The first of the fortnightly podcast series is inspired by travels through Amsterdam, Berlin, Belgium, London and Italy.

The mix begins with a tuning meditation by electronic  music pioneer Pauline Oliveros who developed the EIS (Expanded Instrument System) with the aim of providing access in real performance time to what would normally be considered studio processes. She was also the founder of the Deep Listening Band which stemmed from the concept of "Deep Listening" a term Oliveros coined during her experiments with tape recorders during the 50's and 60's. She encourages both trained and untrained musicians to practice the art of listening and to respond to environmental conditions.

Over the new two hours you will hear...

A track by George Theodorakis taken from the beautiful new double LP "The Rules of the Game" out on Into The Light Records. A compilation of the Greek composers work spanning from 1978-1996, carefully selected by Ilias Pitsios and Tako Reyenga. The musician explored many musical terrains and this release is a great introduction to his work. LFI are particularly interested in his earlier pieces that feature on the release dating from 1978 - 1984

Power duo Les Vampyrettes (Conny Plank and Holger Czukay) combine post punk and 70's experimentalism with 'Biomutanten'  evoking a scenario where "a car driver got a motor problem next to a slimy garbage place from where he got attacked by yet unknown monsters." The record is a series of special singles inspired by "horror with comfort"

Automat, three musicians from Berlin who have been collaborating since 2011 and released their debut album via Bureau B this year.

Female experimental artist Tsembla based in Finland with a piece from her release out on Matt Monandile's New York based label New Image
back in 2013.

Italian legend Claudio Rocci's more experimental side

New York post punk act Ike Yard and English group This Heat with a song inspired by Stevie Smiths 1957 poem "Not Waving but Drowning".

As a spezial Finders Keepers / Dead-Cert / Pre-Cert Hallowe'en treat here's an upload of the medium-rare Applehead mix-tape made from ten-tons of psuedo giallo witchy wax and global glum-rock. Originally released as 69 red cassettes in clamshell cases at a time when people who spent all their money on (physical)music still drove cars with built-in cassette players. Enjoy / Endure at will!

Honored to welcome a dub-techno powerhouse into the fold for this weeks entry into the series. Ohrwert, the acclaimed Netherlands-based producer, has put together over an hours-worth of original material. 

A constant thumping, Ohrwert’s mix summons a thick, nebulous fog - the snares and high-hats serving as brief glimmers of lucidness. It’s an hour of deep rumination, with a consistent theme and ambience making time hurtle by. A set to help you mull something over. 

Ohrwert’s latest vinyl release comes as the split ep with David Hausdorf (https://soundcloud.com/davidhausdorf), ‘Persecution’ out now on the impressive Grounded in Humanity imprint. Behold Finders Keepers, a British record label, 40 years in the making, introducing fans of psychedelic, jazz, folk, funk, avant-garde and whacked-out movie musak to a lost world of undiscovered vinyl artifacts from the annals of alternative pop history.

Catering to record collectors and DJ-producers alike with a huge emphasis on sample friendly soundscapes, rocksteady back-beats and primitive electronic experimentalism. Discerning purveyors of the bizarre and abnormal should expect the Japanese choreography records, space-age Turkish protest songs, Czechoslovakian vampire soundtracks, Welsh rare-beats, bubblegum folk, drugsploitation operatics, banned British crime thrillers and celebrity Gallic Martini adverts... presented on CD, 7" and traditional black plastic discs in authentic packaging.

Following in the very same footsteps as the mind boggling "Music To Watch	Girls Cry" and "Songs In The Key Of Death" mix CDs for Fat City Records and the original 5-star rated Finders Keepers compilation LP in 2001, Manc-based vinyl-vulture, recording artist and record producer Andy Votel enlists the skills of fellow B-Music DJ and Rare Disc Detective Doug Shipton to form a team of psychedelic librarians and cosmic-pop-quiz-elitists to run their new Twisted Nerve distant sister-label, leaving no progressive pebble unturned or record collection un-rifled.

Future compilations and re-issues will feature collaborative curators such as David Holmes, Cherrystones and Bob Stanley and further contributions from mystery A- / B+ pop-celebrity fanatics of outsider music and ultra-rare bakelite discs. Finders Keepers is an 'accidental world music label' with a punk aesthetic and DJ friendly ethos which allows the desperate listener to sit back while we deliver schizoid cultural channel-hopping compilations and rocking-horse-shit & hen's-teeth re-releases to the comfort of your psych-starved living room...
