The library Shred Guitar is the 14th release of Ueberschalls successful Instrument Series. It contains Shred Guitar Loops from Genres like Rock & Metal. Shred Guitars shines with its expertly played guitar licks. Faster, louder, higher!


Content
The guitar loops in Shred Guitar have a length of 4 to 16 bars. The tempo varies between 100 BPM (Double Time), 120 BPM and 160 BPM.
Each loop is available in three versions:

- Distorted
- Clean Amp
- Clean Line Signal. 

The clean signal can be edited with additional effects. 
All guitars licks were played on Gibson, Ibanez or Fender Guitars. 

Additionally, the Elastik Player allows a flexible use of the loops. With a view clicks you can easily add the content to your own projects. You can easily use the loops in different genres than rock and metal. It is also possible to only use selected parts of a full loop. The Elastik Player ensures fast integration of any phrase into your productions - be it for music, web applications, video sound or game audio. 

Structure
Each lick is available in two versions - a total choice of 252 loops. Version 1 and 2 capture the sound of two different microphoned amps. Version 3 is the clean signal for use with your own effects. Of course, sound quality comes in 24 bit and 44.1 kHz, as you can expect from Ueberschall products. 

Guitar Lessons
Shred Guitar is a handy partner in case you want to improve your guitar skills. The solo licks can be played at half tempo but with original pitch. You may also loop short passages and study the licks in detail. Even transposing licks to a different pitch is easily possible.

Elastik-Features
Ueberschall‘s Elastik Loop Player allows matching the loops in speed and pitch to match your song projects. The intuitive browser commonly manages all Elastik libraries for immediate access to all loops. This way, not only loops of a single library can be combined freely but across all installed Elastik libraries. Elastik is the ideal tool for loop-based productions.

Please Note: The backing tracks used in the demo song are not part of the library. They only serve as an example for possible applications of the samples.

X Ray Pop are a group of whom are easy to scratch the surface, but almost impossible to get the bottom of. With an iconic moniker, tell-tale graphic style and demanding ‘buy me’ Day-Glo colour coding policy the French vinyl output of X Ray Pop as a specialist subject is, at first glance, memorable and achievable. Cocksure fans of Euro wave pop often proclaim X Ray expertise from behind many a record shop counter or blog page but the truth of the matter is that no-one, not even the band members them- selves, have the knowledge or mental capacity to truly understand the splatter range of the god speed anti-tactics that have turned this interchangeable, unar- rangable and thirty-year sustainable auto-pop combo into one of uber-legendary status. For those that tread the chemins of 80s Gallic record racks, from agit pop to Zeuhl-school (bridging synth pop to Celluloid) these 7" square flags reading El Gato, L'Eurasienne, Alcool and Fuzzy Christmas are merely alluring landmarks pointing to another sebaceous underground of magnetic tape that flows swiftly (like Magma) awaiting Pirates and liberators alike. X marks the spot!

Peeping out of a warren of unexplored passages their seminal self-distributed debut singles and appearances on the genre defining alternative funk Alternative Funk Folie Distinguée compilation in 1984 made them an omnipresent fixture for the French tape wave scene that shaped a generation and influenced many more to follow. But beneath the trademark fluorescent sleeves stands the highly stacked foundations of endless cassette only releases that give this pocket punk husband and wife duo one of the most impressive and elusive back catalogues of all their cut ‘n’ paste French funk contemporaries.

Not content with already liberating over twenty dedicated global horror and thriller soundtracks as part of the labels expansive discography, Finders Keepers Records resurrect their ghostly Finders Kreepers imprint, an apparition last spotted back in 2009 with the archival Willow's Songs which exposed the original twisted folk music that inspired the seminal 1972 Wicker Man score. With an unwaning appetite for the rare and obscure side of the genre the labels next short series combines ten vintage recordings from the formative years or International horror introducing a host of bygone soundtrack musicians that combined folklore, musique concrète, early electronics, childlike vocals and flamboyant orchestras to accompany the surreal and hallucinogenic films that inaugurated and inspired the golden age of macabre fantastique cinema.

Sourcing a cross section of obscure global domestic pressings and under the radar vintage vinyl runs this Finders Kreepers reissue series combines a cross section of the rare/unknown and the seminal, bringing unobtainable sonic gems of both classic and uber-classic shock cinema to a discerning new generation of collectors.  A haunting lullaby that needs little introduction. Previously obscured beneath gruff narration within the grooves on a collectible patchwork vinyl audiobook of the film, this musical highpoint of Walter Schuman’s The Night Of The Hunter score finds a dedicated and undisturbed home as part of the Finders Kreepers catalog (amongst its distant doppelganger O Willow Waly lullaby found on our previous theme to The Innocents). Originally sung by the five-year-old actress Sally Jane Bruce but stylistically overdubbed by teenage actress Betty Benson (reverse echoing similar vocal dubbing tales from The Wicker Man’s production log) the high pitched fragility of this immaculate piece of haunting cinematic song has left an indelible sonic memory in the minds of discerning thriller fans which remain synonymous with recycled Sunday afternoon television schedules and the spooked-out aerial shots of composite rabbits, toad and Lotte Reinigner like scenery. This lament of the two riverboat runaways fleeing from the house where the submerged dead body of their murdered mother sways in the reeds still stands up as one of the most haunting and painstakingly pensive pieces of lyrical film music and has since provided direct influence on adaptations and interpolation by Stella Vander (Magma) members of Stereolab, Goldfrapp and Jane Weaver while the film itself (with its roots in purported factual events) continues to inspire the likes of David Lynch, Jim Jarmusch and Rob Zombie.

Before disappearing into relative obscurity this pastoral Swedish/French witch flick benefitted some active global distribution in the 60s due to the stunning lead actress Marina Vlady. A tale of unrequited love, sorcery and persecution this cinematic poem relies on hallucinogenic dream scenes and a paranoia plot to convey a similar tale to that of Eiichi Yamamoto's Belladonna of Sadness. With a shimmering organ and acoustic guitar Norbert Glanzberg score which follows the blonde witch as she rows her boat through twilight lakes and echoing caves while living off the land this unknown soundtrack would not be out of place in a haunted Kubrick ballroom or a Lynchian cabaret club. Scaling the outskirts of the classical horror genre La Sorcierre is more of a supernatural story with a horrific conclusion complete with a shimmering haunting score previously only available on a bizarre Israeli exclusive vinyl EP which has always been hard to track down for those who have literally fallen under the spell of the film.

Working across a variety of media John Lemke explores all things sonic through live performance, sound design and his work as a documentary film composer. The Walizka EP is his latest solo release on Denovali Records.

Three items in a suitcase, a clarinet, a looper and a microphone - is how it all started. 

A free improvisation with friend & collaborator Łukasz Bernacki (on clarinet) sparked John’s desire to bring his compositional and production approach back down to the most basic elements. Creating simple, yet distinctive rhythms only through tapping contact microphones run into noisy guitar amps became the base for the EP’s three tracks, consequently inspiring its live, lo-fi feel. Written and recorded between John’s native Berlin and his adopted home of Glasgow, Walizka (Polish for ‘suitcase’) somehow absorbs the defining atmospheres of both cities in its core.

Previously released digitally as a teaser for John’s debut album, the Walizka EP actually presents newer material, progressing the electro-acoustic nature of ‘People Do’ towards more dub drenched territories. Refining John’s blend of prepared piano and field recordings with hand crafted beats and swampy bass lines, this deeply moody and danceable release bends genres with refreshing ease.

The EP is furthermore enhanced by a second half of remixes by fellow Denovali artists Piano Interrupted, SaffronKeira and Petrels and the ever elusive Everyday Dust. Far from conventional remixes, these pieces fall more in the category of re-imaginations, complementing the EP’s first, more rhythm anchored half with a coherent ambient counterpart.

Rock Classics covers the era of the 70s and 80s where famous rock bands were able to decorate their studios‘ walls with gold and platinum honored releases. Ueberschall‘s Elastik library „Rock Classics“ is the result of a months-lasting, intense production. Its 20 construction kits offer professionally recorded drums, bass and guitars in up to seven different parts. Each construction kit‘s part is available in two variations to multiply the number of possible combinations.

All tracks have been recorded using an analogue mixing console and an analogue multitrack to create a truly authentic sound. Also, all guitars have been recording using real amplifiers - no emulations, no exceptions! The abstinence of plug-ins of any kind has led to a production that is exceptionally warm and punchy. Sound wise, Rock Classics is head to head with the classics in rock history. The immense choice of different parts and variations makes this library ideally suited for film- and advertisement soundtracks. Rock Classic is also a perfect choice whenever the classic sound of those 70s and 80s legendary rock songs is needed. And thanks to individual instrument tracks, the library is of great use in any other creative environment, making Rock Classics an ideal start point for new compositions. At the same time, the individual tracks allow easily analyzing how the sound of a great rock classic track was built. This qualifies the library as suitable demonstration material for music schools and educational institutes for audio- and sound engineering.

Rock Classics consists of 7.2 GB audio data containing 2.960 loops. The 20 construction kits are divided in up to seven parts. Available are intro, A-, B- and C-parts as well as breaks and outros. All electric guitars and basses are available as individual tracks, being recorded using real amplifiers - no modelers!
As you can expect from Ueberschall productions, all drums have been carefully mic‘ed and are available as single tracks, too. Besides a premixed version of the drum kit, there are dry tracks of the bass drum, two snare tracks (top and bottom microphones), hi-hat, toms and overheads, allowing to build the kit‘s sound from ground up.

Elastik-Features
Ueberschall‘s Elastik player is clearly laid out, structured and expands the library‘s possibilities in use. All of the library‘s loops contain information about name, tempo and key of a construction kit, allowing easy navigation within the kits. Zplane‘s „élastique pro“ algorithm enables high-quality time-stretching and pitch-shifting of the loops with just a slight tax of the CPU. Since the true identity of this sinister masked electronic keyboard villain was revealed in Jean-Jacques Perrey’s recent autobiography the Mr. Ondioline EP has become one of the most wanted records amongst collectors of early electronics.  As a controversial figure amongst the early musique concrete pioneers due to his painstaking ambition to put popular melody into edited tape music this debut release from 1960 hears Mr. Ondioline showcasing Perrey's Ondioline electronic keyboard (and synth precursor) while proudly celebrating the dawn of multi-track recording and tape editing.  Pioneering, eerily nostalgic and creatively fearless this record brings electric melodies to your shining barstools and haunted ballrooms.
