Monday I Retire is a five-piece band from the heart of Westboro that came together in 2006. They describe their music as pop-rock with a bluesy and sometimes alternative feel. The difficulty in cornering Monday I Retire’s sound into one particular genre arises from the wide variety of artists they cite as their influences (Coldplay to John Mayer, U2 to Matthew Good). Even though the members are all currently pursuing post-secondary education, they make their band a priority and are extremely dedicated to doing what they love: writing and performing their music!
