This started as a daydream in my jail cell in solitary confinement. I was doing four years in prison for Attempted Robbery in the first degree. An act so uncharacteristic  my loved ones were at first swearing my innocence. However, I was not innocent, out of desperation due to drug addiction and lowered inhibitions from the intoxicating effects of being in love, I committed the crime. My girlfriend was quick to make sure I was arrested but accidentally implicated herself. I was made an offer by the D.A. that if I take four years the girl walks free. So I sacrificed my freedom, for love that was only pretended to be reciprocated. 
I'm a naturally talented poet. So early on in my sentence I began a collection of poems I would later come to title "The Key" and though I wasn't  aware I was creating the ultimate poetic compendium of Love and love lost, Addiction and a desire no longer to be such, Freedom, and imprisonment. As time went on you can see and feel through the poems I wrote exactly how I felt when writing them. That's the  one most true characteristic of a real poet; the ability to imbue my artwork with emotion, soul, and the essence of life. 
The closer I got to finishing my sentence the more clearly my mind became all the more I would cone to hate the person I had been pretending to be and identify then correct this problem. 
One day it all just clicked and The  Key, Helping Hands Recovery, and RecoverTogether  all suddenly came into being and it was as if they had always been there. I had discovered my lifes purpose: Tovwalk through the darkest corridors this life can lead a person down and learn the path so I could return one day and bare the torch to help lead even one person out of what had come to ruin me but than define my lifes purpose. This is just a small part of everything to cone. abd I hope  you all enjoy and feel the emotion and energy I put into this. I have a story to tell, and I think I can save some people's lives with it.

We strive to end Stigma but will settle for even a little more awareness. Suicide Awareness and Prevention is a very real topic in Two of the three Hosts Lives. Herrick Lipton is the Chief Executive Officer of New Horizon Counseling Center. He focuses on both short-term and long-term opportunities for children, adolescents, and adults who need behavioral health care.

Herrick Lipton earned his Master of Business Administration in Health/Health Care Administration/Management from Hofstra University on Long Island. A longtime resident of New York, Herrick got involved with New Horizon Counseling Center at a young age and over time he worked his way up through every single division, striving for a more diversified outreach strategy.

Over time, Herrick Lipton became responsible for day-to-day operations as NHCC’s financial and administrative director. He oversaw various grant applications, reimagined entire care programs, and streamlined management techniques to result in end-to-end success. Always envisioning a larger outreach, Herrick also helped direct NHCC’s the acquisition of programs from the the struggling Peninsula Counseling Center.

When the founder of NHCC stepped down in 2013, Herrick Lipton assumed a leadership position and is now the center’s CEO. He has since overseen the expansion of NHCC throughout New York state. He has opened numerous clinics and programs in Suffolk County and Nassau County, the latter of which is the home of his alma mater. His work with NHCC has been featured in publications like LI Herald and Queens Courier, and the center has been noted for its unique “storefront” approach that allows it to be more immersive in its surroundings. In all of NHCC’s professional initiatives, Herrick focuses on creating a true sense of community for people who often feel distanced or isolated.

Finding Extra-Time. Inspired by the good people in the FPL community, Bully and the Iceman put down tools on their usual FPL Surgery offering and change focus to the issue of mental health.

So many are affected worldwide but often don’t access support due to stigma, fear and isolation. This podcast aims to help people feel less alone, bring awareness to common problems we all face, and offer experiences of what may have worked for the everyday person!
