CHROME FEATHER (Preview)

Based in the outskirts of Chiba, I produce a wide range of tracks—from jazzy hip-hop to dark, minimal, and experimental beats.
Unbound by genre, I focus on groove, texture, and spatial atmosphere, building tracks daily in my home studio.

My musical influences include DJ Krush, DJ Shadow, Nujabes, Green Assassin Dollar, KREVA, Dadamnphreaknoizphunk, Mark Rae, and Slo Five.

I began my career as a DJ in 1995 at the age of 17. In the early days, I was deeply drawn to the hypnotic, immersive side of techno, especially artists like Justin Berkovi.
Later, I became immersed in the underground, funk-infused tech house scene surrounding London’s WIGGLE movement, led by artists such as Terry Francis and Nathan Coles. I performed with a focus on minimal, swing-heavy grooves.

Today, drawing from those sensibilities, I produce instrumental works rooted in hip-hop, breakbeats, and leftfield rhythms—emphasizing space, groove, and the expressive potential of restraint.
