Spincat records boss and Athens based producer Giannis Mzpizas returns to Fingerman’s Hot Digits Music label under his J.B. Boogie guise for another superb EP choc full of boogie stompers and sleazy late night reworks. The “Funky Light EP” kicks things off with the piano and horn heavy “Black Gold” before leading into “Lovin’ Feelin’”, a slinky 80’s tinged boogie groove that just won’t quit! “Funky Light” ramps up the 80’s vibes for some mid tempo rubber basslined grooves before we end on “The Groove” a housed up Philly chugger for those late night heads down moments. Another big collection of rump shakers from one of the scenes most prolific underground disco beat sculptors.
