Spoonhead is a pioneer of live psychedelic techno, progressive psy and breaks in New Zealand (NZ). His goal is to take people on deep immersive journeys away from everyday life.

The Spoonhead experience sends you awash through sonically rich and musically diverse soundscapes. Each live set is unique, showcasing his 100% original music.

Having a solid grasp of not only progressive-psy, but also breaks, gitch-hop and techno -  Spoonhead flows seamlessly between acts of different genres. This has seen Spoonhead play alongside some of the heavyweights in the music scene, including Grouch, Tom Cosm, Tetrameth, Mr Bill, Sensient and Antix. Spoonhead’s moldable live set makes for loads of fun on the dancefloor and allows plenty of room for experimentation.

Spoonhead has rocked dancefloors across Australia and NZ including mainstage sets at Aum, Psyfari, and Earth Frequency. In 2021/2022 he brought in the new year at NZ's premier psychedelic event Twisted Frequency Festival to a packed crowd.

As a teenager, the young Spoonhead (his high-school nickname) toured and performed as a lead guitarist in the punk band Mob Sharkey. Shaking bars, pubs and venues across the country. Being so young often saw him refused entry by bouncers to the events he was booked to play!

It was exposure to outdoor electronic music festivals that set a new tone and direction musically. Leaving the band to study electronic music, design and software engineering; Spoonhead honed his skills to strike a balance between artistry and precision engineering. This creative combination has culminated in critically acclaimed releases across a variety of genres. You'll find Spoonhead releases on cutting-edge record labels including WEAPON, Stone Seed and Techgnosis.

Spoonhead is always continually evolving to push the boundaries, cross genres and discover new emotive spaces through music. Recently his focus is on collaborating with other musicians with this drive - because music is better when shared!

Messy Mass is Mads Christensen, born in 1983 in Denmark. A random guy from the middle of a global nowhere land. Messy likes music in X-moll, always skeptic, smiling, grumping, drinking, walking never running, talking (some say a lot), smoking and on regular occassions enjoys the company of old, good and new friends.

The Messy Mass project is based on making funky psychedelic dance tunes with a twist of something odd! If it makes people smile and dance, the project and I are happy! ;)

I've been influenced by shitloads of things purely musical, but especially one of the aspects about music and music industry that I really feel the need to emphasize is: This project is (for most parts) free and u can download all the music u want, no charge... :D

Mr. What? is a question that offers some very interesting answers. 

Liran Ackerman, the man behind this fresh progressive psy project is already known for his success as part of the duo 'MUTe/MUTation'. Following the years of experience he collected with MUTe, Liran felt it was time to set off on a journey of his own. This journey was always about more than just music production, but had a strong calling for creating a palpable fusion between forward thinking beats and universal ideas and emotions that surround us all. This spiralling journey through music, soundscapes and omnipresent concepts has taken Mr. What?'s sound to a refreshing crossover between deep progressive and clubby techno, with just the right amount of psy influence. This can be heard and felt in his tunes, which grab hold of you and offer a refreshing essence of unpredictability in exactly where the groove may take you. Needless to say, his journey is one that we can easily identify with, and instantly feel compelled to join in on regardless of where it's heading. After all, the journey isn't about the destination, but about the road you take as you move along.

Mr. What?'s latest album '27' is pure example of this unbound road, where each track reveals a unique and fascinating view of life, and the endless possibilities of experience. The album features beautiful vocals by Netaly Reshef in 'Substance Fog' and 'Open Your Eyes', and bear a reminder of the angelic guidance that lives in us all. The album also offers some massive collaborations with U-Recken, Roger Rabbit, Krunch and a huge remix to Ritmo's Dream & Reality .

Circuit Bent were manufactured inside the bowels of a top secret laboratory for the purpose of being super soldiers hell bent on world domination. After the mad scientists realized the true nature of the monsters they had created they tried to destroy the foul creatures they had spawned but were overwhelmed by the sonic insanity and bled to death from their ears. To this day the location of Circuit Bent is unknown, but their presence on the internet is evidence that the world is still not safe from the global menace lurking around the corner.

Reecard Farché, the Australian artist and innovator known as Anklepants, has established a reputation as a leading force in avant – garde music and performance. A multi – instrumentalist and creator of experimental sonic devices, Farché’s work pushes the boundaries of genre and challenges conventional ideas of musical expression. Since debuting under the Anklepants moniker in 2004, Farché has released over 20 recordings, beginning with the debut album Pl-easkill on their own QWERTY RECORDS imprint. This sonic evolution continued with the 2011 release insideyourfacedubstepbeanstalktoheavenfortheatheist on Interact Records and reached its latest milestone with Pollen (2018) on Detroit Underground.
Farché’s move to Europe in 2009 marked a shift from underground cult figure to international provocateur, with their iconic Boiler Room performance in Berlin in 2014 helping to elevate the Anklepants persona. Performances at major festivals like Glastonbury and Houston’s Day For Night Festival have seen Farché share stages with artists such as Aphex Twin, John Carpenter, and Björk, each performance a dynamic exploration of sound and experience. Media outlets like Conan O'Brien’s Conan and Adult Swim’s Bloodbath have also taken note of Farché’s boundary-pushing work. In 2019, they extended their reach to South America, further solidifying their place within the global avant-garde scene.
At the core of Farché's artistic vision is the Metadexterial Instrument System, a self-designed array of hardware and software that functions as an extension of their body and mind. With its latest iteration, the system incorporates body-tracking technology, including a custom “microphone controller,” a body-tracking suit, and specialized shoes that capture subtle movements like heart rate and hand gestures. This allows Farché to manipulate voice, rhythms, and effects in real-time, creating a fluid and immersive live experience where the boundaries between body, instrument, and sound blur.
Farché’s performances — characterized by more than 100 wireless inputs — offer an unpredictable, immersive soundscape. The body itself becomes the instrument, with each performance an act of spontaneous improvisation. But Farché’s work is not limited to live shows. The 2014 EP Santur Improvisation (Şur) marked a foray into microtonal and non – 12EDO tunings, and the upcoming album Memory Loss After Incarnation continues this exploration of ancient harmonic systems. Ocker (2019), a retrospective of unreleased work, also offers a glimpse of Farché’s more traditional songwriting and vocal talents, with a cover of Dalis Car's "His Box."
Collaboration plays an essential role in Farché's ongoing work, as seen in the 2019 reinterpretation of Proclamation by British prog-rock pioneers Gentle Giant, which combines Farché’s vocal techniques with the electronic stylings of Mr. Bill. Farché’s art remains fluid and ever-evolving, with upcoming projects drawing inspiration from Australian wildlife and the natural sounds of birds and indigenous animals, themes that have increasingly appeared in their live shows.
Always at the forefront of sonic and instrument design, Farché is currently working on new innovations like Teeth — a percussion instrument using their own teeth — and the Reecard Farché Intonarumori, a breath – controlled, motorized string instrument. The latest version of the Metadexterial Instrument System has expanded to 100 input channels, while the new Suit V4 and Shoe V2 enhance the body’s ability to influence sound. Additionally, Farché is developing new mechanical creations that promise to push the boundaries of live performance even further.
Through Anklepants, Farché continues to explore and challenge the limits of artistic expression. The work exists at the intersection of technology, sound, and human experience — an ongoing journey that defies traditional ideas of music, perception, and identity.
