Earlier this month, legendary Detroit DJ and producer Kelli Hand, aka K-Hand, passed away aged 56. Bermuda-born DJ, producer and live artist Russell E.L. Butler was mentored by Hand prior to her passing. Here, they celebrate the late trailblazer with a special tribute mix.

Our Friends & Family Mix series is back in action and this month we welcome all the way from Berlin; Tom. You may recognise Tom as the booker and resident DJ at Kottbusser hot spot Paloma or from his recent release on the club's in house label "Lose Yourself". With a new release forthcoming on Frank Music we were delighted get Tom to supply a mix for us which of course is recorded live from inside Paloma. We had a chat with Tom about Paloma, what he has going on and the mix. Check that over on Off The Record now!

Detroit - Soundtrack for life! declared Don Williams aka Oracy on Myspace. Born in Wittenberg in 1981, Thomas Wendel understands production and distribution of electronic music as one whole. Which isn't necessarily big news these days. But the dedication, with which Wendel impassions his vinyl offerings, is absolutely charming: Stamped and beautifully curated are his labels Mojuba and art.less. Don Williams recorded this fantastic techno mix for us back in 2009.

Mr. Phillip Sollmann aka Efdemin has always been a presence around these parts. A hero since we started these series three years ago, Efdemin already did a mix for another show we hosted back in 2007, whereas we have unsuccessfully tried to throw a Naïf label night for about twenty times. So, here comes Efdemin. For our anniversary mix. Dive right in, and learn more about Sollmann's blue record project, his fondness for acapellas and the nostalgic pull of Mies van der Rohe.
