Been writing songs since the mid 70's whilst playing bass & drums in various bands (the first one was a punk band) and digitally writing since 2006. Retired now, so much more time for having fun with music :) It's just a hobby for me these days; Soundcloud is just a great place to share music & connect with people who have the same interests. I'm a British-American Electronic musician by the name of Nathan who currently lives in the Pacific NW. ... Sometimes I take extended Social Media breaks for my sanity. Lol! 😅 ... So if I ever miss responding to a comment or returning a follow, it's only because it's hard catching up when I've been gone a month.

I play vintage synths which I've had for decades(because new ones are expensive. Lol!), but in the last couple of years I've been working much more with DAWs (which is awesome because my fingers don't work as well as they used to), with the occasional flourish from my aging synths.

I'm influenced by all varieties of electronic and electronic-adjacent music from 1960s/70s - 2020s, not to mention a bit of Prog and Metal, and Jazz Fusion. 

My focus tends to be on Trance, Ambient, Synthwave, EDM, Synthpop, EBM, Industrial, Darkwave, Futurepop, and the occasional hint of Jazz Fusion. (Sometimes all in the same track).

That's what happens when you're hooked by the Doctor Who Theme at a young age. ;-)  

I'm not always entirely sure which subgenres many my tracks are closest to, So I try to pick the broadest and most dominant one for the main tag. The first row of tags are the other ones I reckon they're closest to, and the rest are an assortment of other related tags, some closer than others.

Matziz's work is an attempt to translate images into music, to sculpt sound material and play with its textures to extract an emotional essence.

This is about working alchemical formulas through sound, to:
- treat, accompany, heal, inspire...
The sensitive world according to its various needs, which fluctuate at full speed, according to the context of the extremely changing and tumultuous news.

It is one of the facets of the musical work of Mathieu TORRES who is active in several projects (M'Z - Zhorhann - The Diogenes - UBBS - No Skeletons...), inspired by the origins of Techno and the English effervescence of electronic music in the 90's

In practice, each track oscillates between club anthems and conceptual sonic experiences. For instance, “Velvet Guillotine” (2025) is a hypnotic techno hymn built on heavy percussion and distorted vocals—a true “surreal sonic ritual” under neon lights.

The sound is always matched by a cinematic, underground aesthetic: strobe lights, cyberpunk visuals, and immersive atmospheres define every release.
