In May of this year, the great musician Vangelis passed away. When I heard about the death of Evangelos Papathanassiou (Vangelis), I was reading about the mystic king of Britain, Uther Pendragon, father of King Arthur. Both events inspired me to write this song.

Recently a very nice contact arose with a young musician colleague from Norway. He kindly allowed me to remix his outstanding song "The girl with the mechanical heart" in my version. I have created two versions of it. This one (cello version) I upload here on my soundcloud page.

IT'S KEEPING ME AWAKE

Some collaborations you work at, some fall right into place.  Such is the case with this song first inspired by Madame Snowflake's acapella version, and instrumentally arranged by Seagull.  My first obstacle was being mesmerized with what he had done so far.  But the second was easy; just be judicious and organic with the nylon string guitar.  I gave him two versions which he generously incorporated into the song.  Seagull is a gifted writer, performer, and producer, and what a great privilege and honor to work with him and the mysterious Snowflake.

At home producer of electronic tracks in varying styles - I really enjoy experimenting with melding different genres. 
Been writing songs since the mid 70's whilst playing bass & drums in various bands (the first one was a punk band) and digitally writing since 2006. Retired now, so much more time for having fun with music :) It's just a hobby for me these days; Soundcloud is just a great place to share music & connect with people who have the same interests.
