Kneaded Pains regular, Harvey McKay, readies himself for the release of his next album with this two-track single as a precursor.  ‘Dirt Box’ is the first fruits to come out of McKay’s second studio long player, ‘Anatomy Of A Drum Machine’ which will be released later in the year.  

The seasoned producer/DJ from Glasgow has notched up an impressive catalogue of releases for labels such as Soma, Perc Trax, Cocoon, Filth On Acid and many more, always delivering well-polished and effective techno cuts.

Will Chusap turns it on its head as his remix drops the disco bassline and replaces it with a bouncing tech house alternative. The remix includes the spoken word meets rap vocal, but the energy is now big club vibes, with a thumping kick, bouncing bass and keys only adding to the overall energy.

"I Wanna Go Bang" is the ubiquitous slammer we all know, Bjarki himself one of the tight coterie of hitherto-unheralded acts Nina has helped put on an international stage; gathered up on the label's 2xEP compilations. As well as the youngbloods, some more well-worn faces beloved by the boss have snuck their way onto the comps: and so it proves on TRP005, which sees the second cut from Detroit veteran Kelli Hand in as many releases.

K-HAND's "Sound 6" is, in short, an acid ripper. Resolutely mean and linear, the corrosive 303 pelts forward over a snapping beat with little pause from start to end. It harks back to the height of vintage Djax, another 90s Detroit stalwart; like we say, it rips.
