Häana is a Los Angeles–based producer, and composer blending classical string virtuosity with downtempo bass, cinematic textures, and nature-field recordings. Known for her “future-ethereal” sound, she channels the emotive depth of artists like Massive Attack, Björk, and RY X while crafting immersive performances that weave reactive visuals, dance, and live electronics. With a festival résumé spanning Coachella, OZORA, Boom, and Shambhala, Häana creates sonic landscapes that invite listeners into liminal spaces of memory, mysticism, and physical place — a crossroad of ancient roots and future sound. Häana’s discography of music has amassed 1.7 million + streams on Spotify, 1 million + streams on Soundcloud, and 157k + views on YouTube.

Häana has performed as a live electronic sound artist for brands Intel, Ferrari, Apple, and Nike and a guest artist at Berklee in Valencia, Spain. She's also a film score composer and has scored a 90-min feature documentary This Cold Life (produced by Time, INC) and music for Heavy Water (produced by Red Bull).

Classic writing chops combine with idiosyncratic impulses to the the create sharp, lyric-driven New Wave Folk song on New York singer-songwriter Andrew Vladeck’s upcoming single, “You’ll Get Yours” – produced by Boston’s Sam Kassirer (Lake Street Dive/Josh Ritter) with the company of multi-instrumentalist Sean Trischka. 

“You’ll Get Yours” is a protest song, and hopefully, what a good rock song should be – cathartic. Andrew writes, “it’s for those liars and manipulators who only increase human misery in the world." Andrew tries to honor Chuck D.'s (Public Enemy) advice on topical songwriting, to the effect of, "if you teach the class you must rock the boulevard." 

The accompanying music video is a Bauhaus homage filmed on the Day of Totality by award-winning filmmaker David Doobinin.

Vladeck’s last record, released under his “Fireships” moniker, features classic songwriting with contemporary folk-rock orchestration, with finger-picked electric guitar and songs that recalled great NYC songwriters Lou Reed and Paul Simon. Voted Best of 2016 by The New York Music Daily, calling it “imaginatively arranged Americana rock and chamber pop with a fearlessly aware, Dylanesque, populist lyricism.”  Fireships was lauded in The Huffington Post, Guitar World, Daytrotter, charted on college radio, and toured across the US and Europe. Contributors included legendary composer David Amram, Sydney Wayser (Clara Nova), Adam Levy and others. 

Vladeck has been a fixture on the New York music scene since the early 1990s. He has released four albums followed by US and European tours. He has opened for or shared bills with The National, Andrew Bird, Norah Jones, Jeff Buckley, Ani DiFranco, Soulive, Marah, Beth Orton, Moe, Alejandro Escovedo, and many more.  He’s won First Place in the International Songwriting Competition and received awards from Billboard, the Independent Music Awards, and was named The Deli Magazine's NYC Artist of the Month. Vladeck is also a founding member of The Honey Brothers (which released four albums, played the national festival circuit, and toured four continents), and the banjo player for “epic, barnyard folk” band Balthrop, Alabama.

2018 brings plans for releasing various singles followed by an LP that integrates work with several different producers of renown, including Grammy Winner Malcolm Burn, Grammy Nominee Felix McTeigue, Roger Greenawalt, and Kaia Fischer. Tour dates in the US and Europe to follow.

NYC singer-songwriter Andrew Vladeck conceived of Fireships as he was writing a new record and brought in musician friends to manifest this vision. The songs seemed to fit a theme – using fire and water to fight darkness with light. The 2015 album “Fireships” (End Up Records) is classic yet keenly modern, mixing folk-rock influences and featuring finger-picked electric guitar of American Folk and West African influence, recalling Lou Reed and Paul Simon’s Graceland. Voted Best of 2015 by The New York Music Daily, who call it “imaginatively arranged Americana rock and chamber pop with a fearlessly aware, Dylanesque, populist lyricism.”  Vladeck’s lyrics resonate with the depth and sophistication of the folk tradition; Fireships’ sound is more contemporary – arrangements billow with bass and strident drums, triumphal organs and harmonies.

Fireships’ multi-instrumentalist Lauren Balthrop (Dear Georgiana) lends Emmylou-esque vocals that blend with Andrew’s unvarnished delivery. Rhythm section team Chris Buckridge and Jason Lawrence fuse bass and drums, lending gravitas to songs such as drunken astronaut fantasy “Countdown Time.” Various friends dropped by the studio during recording and drop by live shows for beautiful contributions and writing: Sydney Wayser (Clara Nova), Adam Levy, David Amram, Marika Hughes, Skye Steele, Tim Luntzel, Hannah Thiem, Ray Rizzo, Hannah Read, Dave Doobinin, and the producer, Paul Loren. At live shows Fireships varies between a full band of musicians from the album with guests to a self-contained solo act, with Andrew performing the songs with various instruments and pedals. Fireships recently toured the U.S. as a full band, with occasional solo shows, with Andrew touring Europe solo.
