I hate to say something as generic as "8-Bit" but I scarcely want to call it NES because I left in the dynamics for the triangle wave which is an illegal move.

Happy with how I handled the accompaniment. I managed to incorporate the rhythm section and both parts of the backing pads. Most of all I'm glad I managed to make a full sounding mix with these limitations. 
Usually with my NES-style stuff I gave into temptation and added in the Gimmick bass/DPCM drums AND the extra saw channels or w/e and SO ON. That would complicate things too much so it'd end up messy. I managed to get this good of a mix with only 4 voices, and that's pretty fly.

I saw a title I recognized on VGMusic the other day and gave this sequence a shot. People bothering to include pitch-bending always piques my interest. That sort of thing earns instant marks from me in a "one of the judges always responds well to that" sort of way.
I put it into SynthFont with Clubhouse Games instruments and liked what I heard, so I decided I'd try a more involved arrangement in FL. I ended up making a 2nd arrangement with the idea of bringing to mind another bully-type character: the female Barney, gen Z Jimmy Hopkins. That's what this was meant to be. IDK how close it comes to that but I like how it sounds (even if the melody is syncopated to the point of being downright erroneous). MMPR guitar aside I *also* included Toby's beloved Duty Cycle patch.

update here. I wanted to go public a full month ago but then wanted to make the arpeggios accurate, but then I wanted to implement the CBH surf guitar, to put the final nail in the "Susie vibe failed" coffin. Then I figured I might as well make the arpeggios accurate, but the mix didn't like that. I liked the mix, so I decided to side with that. Which was all well and good, but then I forgot to make this public for another IDK days.

So I made a Sonic inspired track once more. This time with some more techy stuff as inspiration. Try imagine a sort of blend between Sonic 2 Metropolis / Sonic & Knuckles Death Egg / Sonic 1 Scrap Brain / Sonic 3 Launch Base. That was what I had in mind this time : ) Enjoy!

I'd been wanting to find something to replace the High Score fanfare with for quite a long while now, but I couldn't find anything that was a) short enough and b) that I still liked. I thought about making like a leitmotif out of something and using that as fanfare, but I couldn't think of anything that I'd like. BUT YEAH, I FOUND ONE FINALLY. What really made me think to use it was the overtly brass-oriented instrument choices, and as I was working on the waamix I remembered that the sound effect you'd hear right before the high score fanfare had that same sort of "bwehh?" sound to it, which was a nice coincidence-- as such, the .mid I plan on giving to MarioSpore will only contain the second part, probably, and I'm thinking about simplifying it as well.

I recomposed this song in the earlier history of my channel, but I felt I could improve so I wanted to take another crack at it!

Mario and Luigi: Partners in Time is one of my favourite RPG games of all time. In my opinion, Partners in Time was unique from the rest of the M&L series because of how dark it was in contrast to the other games, and I just think the entire M&L RPG series itself is amazing. I never get tired of the unique dialogue different characters like Fawful, Geno, Prince Peasley and so forth have to offer in the amazing stories and I would definitely like to consider touching up on this series again in the future, hopefully!
