Also the first release on his brand new 49North imprint - 'Strobe Dancer' is 9+ minutes of exquisitely-paced, hypnotic dance-floor drama. 

Sitting somewhere between the deeper end of modern day, Acid House and the more Slo-mo climbs of Dub-leaning Techno - Duncan's opening gambit is a wickedly brooding affair, that manages to be both  menacing and seductive in the very same breath. And after bubbling away on the scene with a real sense of purpose for over 6 months now - this atmospheric, reverb-washed creeper will finally be unleashed upon the masses on Friday 19th June 2020.

A date that brings with it a sense of excitement, above anything else, largely thanks to the super punchy arsenal of top-tier support the track has corralled since it’s inception way back in September 2019. It’s just kept on building at underground club level, and as a result is now starting to really make it’s mark amongst the tastemaker airwaves. And when you’re talking the calibre of DJs like Len Faki, Axel Boman, Sasha, Anja Schneider, Laurent Garnier, Josef Sedlon, Tim Sweeney, Nicole Moudaber, Mathias Weck, Agoria, Red Axes and John Digweed; it’s not hard to see why it’s been fighting fit all this time.

But while release day is of course a pivotal moment in, what will no doubt be Duncan’s most important campaign for years; this Friday will also represent a watershed moment in his career. As finally all the writing, jamming, plotting, dreaming and scheming that’s fully engulfed these last 3 years, is all of a sudden, justified. And for a producer making a return after so many years, to a scene he once owned - being able to draw a line under it as the day he truly arrived will be a big deal. As now he can look forward and start getting excited about the future; especially as he knows exactly what kinds of remarkable already lie in waiting behind the DF curtain...2020 is certainly not going to go quietly for him, that’s for sure
