@madverbmusic and I wanted to make a feel good club record that incorporated elements of that ethnic disco sound. A couple months ago we had a session and whipped up the instrumental in the span of a few hours. Madverb wrote and tracked her vocals a few days later, and the rest was history. I played it at a party in July and people immediately took a liking to it. The way she and the original singer Hamid Al-Shaeri go back and forth in such a beautiful blend of the new and old - layered over a bellowing house beat - it’s hard not to feel good when you listen to this song.
