This album was recorded with one Sterling Audio ST51 Large Diaphragm FET Condenser Microphone through a Focusrite Scarlett 18i8 USB Interface into Logic Pro X. Carson Keeter plays a Martin Custom MMV Dreadnought Acoustic Guitar equipped with a solid Sitka spruce top, solid East Indian rosewood body, mahogany neck, and ebony fretboard, constructed with X-bracing, strung with D’Addario EXP17 Coated Phosphor Medium strings. Cosmetics include a deluxe 19-ply rosette, gold tuners, white binding and a nitro-cellulose finish. Dustin Raley plays an F-style Eastman MD515-CS mandolin that is fully hand-carved solid spruce top and solid maple back and sides with a ebony fingerboard cosmetically finished with a high gloss nitrocellulose lacquer equipped with D’Addario EJ74 mandolin strings.

Ladies and gentlemen: Loran Otzer has acquired a pedal steel. The world will never be the same. Or at least this poem by William Wordsworth will never be the same. 

Loran did most of the instrumental work, with G&B primarily adding textures and Jeff's editing skills in full force. We were aiming for a fuzzy, crunchy contemporary update to the classic Cosmic American sound.
