A Devotional modern Buddhist Soundscape focusing on Siddhartha Gautama's controversial rejection of classical divinity in favour of a self-salvation. The album essentially centres on the theme that there is no authority but yourself.

The essence of the Album is about finding your own feet, direction and road in life. A road where only we ourselves bear responsibility for our actions and choices and the absolute rejection of the concepts of pre-defined destiny, creationist dictatorship or law and government directive.

By looking at the collecting thoughts of the spiritually evolving Siddhartha Gautama and the journey that brought him to achieving the status of Buddha, we can open and see a path to enlightenment, without outside socio- religious dictates.

It is how we use our lives, our time that counts, not how long we have
or even what time is We make choices, we chose a life of significance
or insignificance. We can choose to make a life, Biologically so to
speak, to make a child or to dedicate to a cause , to leave a legacy
for others to follow.

When all is accounted for, do people remember Buddha for his
scriptures and teachings or his children ? The assumption that
immortality can be achieved through procreation and the bloodline is
not necessarily true as infamy can also be immortality.

All life sickens, ages and dies, so what sets one life apart form
others ? That lies in how we use our time ? As a guide we can reach
out to the Holy Texts, for a story told father to son may endure as
long as a bloodline, but a scripture message carved in stone will most
stand for longer.

To write a life of Meaning, we have to have purpose and meaningful
intent and that intent lies in balance. A yin and a yan symbiotically
entwined one around the other.

The Key of life, The meaning of life, the essence of life, the purpose
of life, the essence of life, the meaning of life, we eliminate all
passions (and dependency on Commerce, Relationships, Divinity and the
State) and through this we will become self-enlightened, reaching
nirvana.
A life dedicated from beginning until the very end. Waking from dream
and lie, our purpose to eliminate all passions from our lives until
the very end, we shall achieve ourselves a state of enlightenment,
nirvana, This is the very quintessence of life, the purpose of life.

Whether or not there were /are Divine beings doing what we presume
divinity does, matters not at all to the Buddhist.

Siddhartha Gautama quite uniquely from all other spiritual leaders
stipulates that there is no master, or, authority but ourselves when
it comes to matters of salvation.

So by following this ethic Siddhartha Gautama skilfully side stepped
the whole creationist issue by laying a path that spiritual
enlightenment lied squarely under a principle of self-salvation.

Alone and free of Classical Divinity, the possibilities are enormous,
we cannot save ourselves if we are afraid of Death and retribution, in
that realm Divinity rules.

Siddhartha Gautama creates the desire to accept Sickness, Age and
Death as a passing to enlightenment.

He was, the first real threat to Organised Creationism the world had
ever seen and as such, remains today the established foundation of
Alternative Culture.

The impact of this culture socially and on the self being three fold -
- That Consciousness to Realization of the self leads to empowerment
- The letting go , or , Obliteration of all earthly desire, need,
concern removes all agents of social control wherever they have been
applied
- This Obliteration opens a path to true Enlightenment and personal
spiritual growth

'Song for the animals' is my first attempt at an animal rights protest song. It uses a protest chant format that I've picked up from various demos and marches over the years.

I'm not quite sure if it works, or if its a bit cringe! It's a fine balance with something like this. If you're an AR person listening to this then I'd really appreciate your comments.

The artwork I've used is from a twisted but accurate cartoon I drew many years ago called "Role Reversal."

Israel Responds is part of the Gaza Exposé Album due for release in August 2015 looking at the impact and debate over the Gaza Strip Human rights issues. 

As part of our research we found a cast array of information regarding the conflict in Gaza and the horrific impact on Palestinian Lives along with the history behind the Hamas and Israeli divide. Yet what was missing in the debate was the voice of the Jewish people, not the government or security services, but the people who lived in the rocket strike zone and with that in mind, to balance the Album, and the debate we took interview footage from Israelis and related that back to the bigger picture. 

The track collects that part of the project and the impact on Israeli lives of the bombing campaign. Though the track is comical in places, the intention is in no way to ridicule, rather than to understand.
