Rosalina has a hard time finding work after Galaxy 1 and resorts to throwing ass for Star Bits. ✨  🪐🌌 This is Rosalina re-imagined, just in time for the new Super Mario Galaxy Movie. Certified Hood Classic™ meets Certified Hood Classic™. 🪄💫💃🏾

For the first time, we get a behind-the-scenes look into Rosalina: The Woman. Not much is known about her backstory, aside from her storybook in Galaxy 1. However, if you look closely, hanging on the wall in Rosalina's library is a platinum plaque from the RIAA. It was almost impossible to see when playing the original Wii version, since most people connected their Wiis up to their TVs using composite RCA cables, and the image resolution just wasn't clear enough to make out fine details like text, if it wasn't in the foreground. (HD) component cables were not common at the time for the vast majority of players. It wasn't until the Nintendo Switch "high-definition" re-release when people were finally able to see the writing on the wall... literally. In addition, on the bookshelf next to Rosalina's fireplace, if you zoom in, you can see what initially looks like just another book, except you can just about make out the words "Galaxy, II" written on the spine. Most people assumed this was an Easter Egg about Galaxy 2 being in the works. However, given what we know now, about who Rosalina REALLY is (a time-traveling songstress/sorceress from Atlanta Georgia) it's safe to say that the upcoming Super Mario Galaxy Movie is going to give us fans some long-anticipated Rosalina closure that will solve this decades-long mystery once and for all... like why there is a late-model box Chevy with temporary Georgia tags floating around in the Space Junk Galaxy. Questions Miyamoto doesn't want to answer, and Yoshiaki Koizumi is contractually forbidden from even addressing.

Fun fact: this track is actually called Sand Island (サンドアイランド) which is the Dusty Dune Galaxy's official name in Japanese, as well as in the game's files.

Velvet Kisses” is a piece born from a deeply personal and emotional moment.
The track blends intimate electronic textures with drifting, slightly detuned basslines and expressive electric-guitar phrases. Each element acting like a quiet narrator of a love I was trying to capture in sound.
Throughout the piece, I sampled the voice of Prova, the renowned Iranian female vocalist from the classic track “Moussem-e Gol.” Her timeless tone adds a nostalgic warmth that brought me closer to the feeling I was living while creating this song.
This is a story of tenderness, longing, and those velvet-soft moments that stay with you long after they pass.

«بوسه‌های مخملی» از دل یک لحظه‌ی عمیقاً شخصی و احساسی زاده شده است.
این قطعه ترکیبی از بافت‌های الکترونیکِ صمیمی، بیس‌لاین‌هایی که گاه به‌عمد کمی ناکوک حرکت می‌کنند، و جمله‌های گیتار الکتریک است؛ عناصری که هرکدام مانند راویانی آرام، داستان عشقی را روایت می‌کنند که سعی داشتم آن را به صدا ترجمه کنم.
در بخش‌هایی از این اثر، صدای پروا — خوانندهٔ شهیر زن ایرانی — از قطعه‌ی کلاسیک «موسم گل» سمپل شده است. رنگ صدای او گرمایی نوستالژیک به موسیقی می‌دهد و من را بیشتر به احساسی که هنگام ساخت این کار در آن زندگی می‌کردم، نزدیک می‌کند.
این قطعه روایتی است از لطافت، دلتنگی، و آن لحظه‌های مخملیِ عاشقانه که مدت‌ها در ذهن می‌مانند.
