Ronnie Scott’s resident Cuban singer Rene Alvarezdelivers the impassioned vocals, followed by the main man Claudio Passavanti’s heated Montuno piano riffs, which combine seamlessly to create a blissful, dance-floor experience. Paris and Lyon-based @InAnyCaseRecords are back again with their brand of dusty, sample house. For their third release they are welcoming back co-founders G2S and Cutouane (also known as Malouane), they also welcome back Manuel Nie and invite newcomers Kaffe Crème and 4004 to the label. The first three releases were prepared well in advance and so the sound has been extremely consistent across the board thus far. Give credit to the label heads (Clément, Théo & Johanna) for having a vision and following through with it. The imprint's sound itself spans from edits to downtempo beats to the aforementioned dusty house sound. Although the sound itself isn't a revelation by any stretch, the effectiveness with which the outlet carries it out is to be admired.

Today's Bolting Bits premiere comes courtesy of the B1 by Mexican producer @4004_Reasons. A staple on Quintessentials and FACES Records, 4004 has a very distinct sound. His jazzy, organic, sampled house is easily recognizable and he's gone back to what he does best for Dice Bar. A swung groove with natural sounding drums? Check. Mellow Rhodes chords and jazzy keys? Check. Deep and subby bassline? Check. All of the right elements are present as usual, just using different samples and the glissando string is one that really stands out in this particular production. Like the label itself, 4004 isn't reinventing the wheel, but he is making a damn good one.

A track that really holds your attention with its emotion & craft. The swirling phased chords, staccato synth hook and subtle guitars really hit you in the feels, paired up with bone dry disco drums and a thumpy kick. Its a track we cant get enough of on an EP that has really impressed us. More please.

As key members of the infamous CoOp collective, they have been flying the flag for the UK's broken beat revival, turning heads with their intensely soulful productions. 'Moments In Soul' and 'Just flow' are two exuberant masterclasses in how to create a joyful edit. STheir broken beat background shines through in the meticulous drum programming, giving the performance a natural, live feel and setting it apart from others in it's class. Sable Blanc is releasing his debut full-length album, "Homecoming", on Salin Records, also a first for the label itself. Originally slated to be an EP of tracks corresponding to memories of a recent trip to New York, the idea grew into a full-fledged LP as work began. "Homecoming" alludes to returning to New York, a place where the producer spent several years living and forming memories in his teens. Inspired by the colours, energy and peace of the city, Sable Blanc also chose photos taken by his friend that inspired each of the tracks on the album. Salin's very own Daria Salin then took the photos, developed them as cyanotype (an analogue development technique, same as on the album cover itself) and created a booklet, a special additional feature to the album.Musically, the album shows a developing maturity in Sable Blanc's work. Expanding his range to a variety of styles and incorporating new techniques from various genres, the album really is meant to be taken in as one whole listening experience. Today however, we're premiering just one track off the album, Limo & Theatre. Teaming up with trumpet player Reuben Lewis (you may have heard some of his work via Loure's output or Australia's 30/70 collective), together they deliver a laid-back, jazzy tune meant to be taken in within a relaxing environment. Nestled among the crispy drums and alluring trumpets are some breezy and carefree keys that really help to transport your mind on a journey. We can see this one being taken in with headphones, sitting in a high-rise while watching the life on busy streets of New York buzz by down below.Limo & Theatre isn't the only superb track on the album. There are influences ranging from drum and bass to ambient on the record so be sure to grab your copy and sit down with a copy of the photo pamphlet and take it all in as it's meant to be.
