After a short hiatus, Mantra Collective are delighted to share the fourth release from our digital sublabel Pandorea Records. Continuing our focus on local talent, we present a solo EP from Melbourne based Travisty. Travis Barrington was undoubtedly one of our most exciting discoveries of 2020 and it brings us great joy to offer a platform to share his detailed sound.

The four track EP is marked by an infectiously uplifting swing, with all tracks a timely fit for the reopening of dancefloors. Kinetic tones is filled with the same energy the track takes it’s name from. An understated groove sits above warm textures, making way for a euphoric breakdown. Midnight Mistress is an expert display of Travis’ classy yet danceable sound; a deep and dreamy journey that could easily continue beyond its 8 minute run time. Sleep Walking follows, leading with a delicate melody that balances its elegant baseline. Closing the EP Is Waves, the clubbiest cut of the EP. The right amount of bounce is expertly embellished with interesting sampling - one for the body and the mind. A bright release from an equally bright talent, we are so excited to hear more from Travis.

Museme is back once more, delving ever deeper into the underground landscape to uncover those rare and specialist minimal producers. Remaining on home turf for this latest instalment, Museme have secured another impeccably crafted debut, this time from Australian producer Pol.M. Hailing from the West coast, Pol.M has been steadily gifting a number of soulful original works to fans over the last 12 months. And now, after consistently improving his sound, the enigmatic creator steps up with a fully-fledged Ep in ’Staying Present’. An exquisite 3 tracker imbued with a deep, emotive energy. 

Opening proceedings is title track ’Staying Present’… a ruminative breeze of tonal pads, carrying on its heels the vocal echoes of fading wisdom. Sharp, percussive accents punctuate the mix, underpinning a truly sublime cut.  Next up ‘Summer Swing’ builds atop a groovy baseline motif, showered with elegant keystrokes and sweeping atmospherics. Its airy hues impart feelings of peaceful tranquillity that the heart and mind will find quite arresting. Finally, the Ep finishes with ‘Thinking Of’… a moodier, low slung piece permeated with spookily writhe effects. Perfectly tuned drum programming edges forward, tip toeing through a sea bubbling electronic and nuanced sub bass notes. A milestone release for a uniquely talented producer.

The lake might be freezing in this cold winter, but the carp go with the icy flow bringing some hot material on KOI003 that comes from Ukrainian rising talent Peshka. Oriental EP sees the young Ukrainian producer go full-on-force with two captivating originals that meander between twisted drum arrangements and hefty basslines, leaving the necessary space for intriguing and melodic sounds to rise freely. On the remix duties, the label welcomes Romanian spearhead Arapu who delivers a massive "hands-up heads-down" reinterpretation of "Orient", turning the original into a basement destroyer.
