I made this track about 15 years ago using a MIDI keyboard and GarageBand. I was 19 at the time and thought I was in this amazing, dream-like relationship—but looking back, it was far from that. I was too young to see I was being taken advantage of.

The song is about feeling stuck in a dream that’s not really what it seems. I wanted it to sound emotional, with a bit of frustration and energy—so there’s a mix of feeling and a dance beat to keep it moving.

I recently gave it a fresh spin with SUNO (not my vocals this time), and it’s been cool to revisit that part of my life and turn it into something new.
