DJ and record collector for over 15 years, Mari Mac Dowell was born and raised in Rio de Janeiro and is now based in BedStuy-Brooklyn where for almost four years she has been expanding her collection of obscure Brazilian and African records, techno, house and other eccentric noises. Her sets are always energetic with a lot of synthesizers and percussive grooves. Mari became a regular in the booth of a few underground clubs in the city such as Mood Ring, @jupiterdisco and @publicrecordsnyc. Inveterate music researcher she is always looking for hidden gems to elevate you to other frequencies.
