The first of two tracks from @ddan-tek as part of Kyiv-based record label @standarddeviation's Split EP series, aiming to foster intercultural exchange, collaboration and friendship between Ukraine and the international community. 

For the second Vinyl project, emerging Ukrainian musician Omon Breaker shares the stage with Berlin-based Mala Junta Resident D.Dan.
The Split format is a musical dialogue between two worlds, backgrounds and stories, referencing stylistic roots of electronic music history and production. Seattle raised D.Dan on the A-Side with 'Post Kyiv' reflects on his musical journey, with high-energy trance and groovy summer techno.

The rising Spanish imprint Burning Synths continues its hot streak with a powerful collaborative release from Samm and Silicodisco. The two-track offering marks a significant moment for Samm, representing his very first foray into production. For his partner in rhythm, Silicodisco, this is simply another day at the office, adding another notch to an already impressive and expanding catalogue. His work has consistently found welcoming homes on a diverse array of respected labels, including Espacio Cielo, Club Mackan, Banshees, Epicure, and Critical Monday, just to name a few, establishing a formidable presence across the scene.

Now, let’s pop the “Black Bubble.” This is a track built for velocity and impact, a 142-BPM surge of pure dance-floor voltage. It doesn’t just invite movement; it commands it through a physical, throbbing bassline that serves as the track’s relentless core. Wrapping around this powerful foundation are progressive pads that add a layer of atmospheric depth, while hypnotic arpeggios spiral through the mix. Round 2 of the Soma 25 series sees the legendary Funk D’Void receive the remix treatment as his seminal ‘Jack Me Off’  taken from his debut Soma EP and further classic ‘Bad Coffee’ are reworked by Gary Beck, Christian Wunsch, Alex Smoke & Charles Fenckler respectively. FDV has been one of Soma’s most important artists, releasing some of the label’s earliest hits such as Diabla and working with the likes of Phil Kieran & Sian.

Scottish Techno phenomenon Gary Beck kicks things off with his take on Bad Coffee firing out a solid peak time burner in true Beck fashion and utilising the original’s quirky samples to great effect. Next up Jack Me Off is brought in the modern era by Tsunami label boss, Christian Wunsch who immediately sets about creating a sub heavy, hypnotic affair aimed firmly at the heavier edge of the Techno spectrum. Another well renowned Soma artist steps up to take on Jack Me Off as Alex Smoke brings his more diverse expertise to the table. A twisted, funk infused affair is the order of the day with fast paced and innovative use of the original definitely taking it to new places! Soma’s new blood, Charles Fenckler closes out the EP with his Rave Mix of Bad Coffee. Fenckler’s sights are firmly fixated on the dance floor with this version as he lets loose a no holds barred retake on FDV’s original.
