A relatively new name in the world of hard edged techno, Irish DJ & producer Sjush made his presence felt with a string of self-released EPs and an appearance on SPEED’S free download series in 21’. The young up and comers' taste for raw, bewitching techno combined with a penchant for rave has left listeners in hypnotic euphoria, making him one to watch and gaining support from Manni Dee, Yasmin Gardezi, Pelin Vedis, Riot Code & more. Now on his first vinyl release, Sjush produces four relentless and brooding cuts of late-night techno on Danger Dance. 

‘Aura’ sets pace with an array of pounding kickdrums and its commanding sensibility; inducing primal states through carefully selected grooves and propelling synths. ‘Burner’ then enters the fray with bone crushing percussion, also underlining Sjush’s solid grasp of mixing both aggressive techno with a 90s sheen. ‘Cataclysm’ feels more detached and spacy, still engrossed in powerful low end and foreboding pads, before the EP comes to a cinematic close with ‘Grain Feeder’. Marching kickdrums meet with equally relentless leads, while percussion that could easily replicate the noises from predator form to create a mind-expanding, sensory experience best heard under the cover of darkness.

We premiere a track from Sync resident and Galway based DJ and Producer, Fearghal Feely aka Havik today. The young producer has provided a Free Download, that is dripping in 90’s tribal influences with a touch of modern power and plunging synth lines.

Having previously experimented producing with a number of sub genres of techno from styles such as dark, industrial and ebm, Havik has always been drawn back to a raw, minimal, fast paced grooving style which sprung from the golden era of techno .

After 3 or 4 years of producing and experimenting, the young DJ and producer finally found his style, taking inspiration from classic minimalistic techno, and squeezing forthright elements to their absolute most.

“My style focuses on fast paced blitzing grooves , hypnotic synths and tight grooving low ends , there’s something about keeping that fast pace on the dance floor but keeping it groovy that just resonates well with me.“

A lot of my inspiration comes from sounds of nature and creating deep grooving atmospheres from it, in which you will find in this track “echochant” which features wooden percussion , jungles noises and tribal chants.

The track leans on the basic principle’s of raw and driving techno, encompassing screw-face synth lines, billowing low end grooves and crisped funky percussion. Tribal chants and shrieks tie the track together, giving a jungle type atmosphere. This is an untamed techno tool for the heads.

Not sure if I even showed it to Spencer back then. Anyway, I thought this would make for a nice give-away and thank you to everyone who supported me over the years. Enjoy!

Oscar Mulero’s own Warm Up label goes 50 releases old and to celebrate, there is an special release planned: A double remixes vinyl pack as well as an extended digital release including the four previously only vinyl available Pattern Series.

The remix pack will have revisions of the original Oscar’s works by the likes of: Silent Servant, Cassegrain, Kanding Ray, Donatto Dozzy, Shlømo and Chevel. Each one getting the essence of the originals but adding their very personal touch to the pack. As a result all kinds of techno flavors are represented, from the harsh and rude to the liquid and floaty.

HOMAGE returns for their fourth release with the debut EP from Irish playboy KETTAMA. The Galway native is quickly becoming Ireland's most exciting electronic music name, known for his hard-hitting tracks laced with old school samples and classic rave sounds. The EP's highly anticipated single, "B O D Y," is making waves online thanks to Mall Grab givin' it the heavy rinse cycle, most recently to a huge crowd at Lost & Found Festival during a b2b with Mella Dee and Denis Sulta!

PREMIERE: KETTAMA - KILT [Homage]

Ben Klock’s Klockworks invites the legendary London-based artist The Advent to join the ever-growing roster to deliver the 22nd instalment on the label, to be due out this September. The Advent started producing in his trademark raw, energetic style in 1994 and since then has become a rebel and an icon in the scene. Cisco Ferreira puts forward three stand-out tracks for Klockworks, one brand new one and two from The Advent’s rave archives.

On the A-side, ‘High Horse’ is a fresh track from The Advent that has been prominent in his live sets, features a saucy vocal that can also be recognised as a favourite in Ben Klock’s DJ sets in the past few months, now finally making an appearance on wax for the label. 

The flip-side features two previously unreleased tracks from the 90’s when the approach was more raw and groovy, something that can be seen having a revival in current times. ‘Un Named’ is more stripped down and pulsating while ‘Sound Pove’ features a jacking Chicago house groove with a techno tempo, both fitting perfectly into the Klockworks catalog.

Tiger Stripes follows up ‘Baby’ with a quintuplet of aces on Drumcode.

Death, taxes and Tiger Stripes crafting dancefloor weapons for Adam Beyer’s Drumcode and Truesoul labels. Not many things in life are certain, but we’ve always counted on Mikael Nordgren knocking it out of the park. Last year’s ‘Baby’ EP was a label highlight, while in March he released ‘Sneaking Hotdogs Into People’s Pocket’, which mined the spirit of ‘90s-drenched euphoria and was a standout on Truesoul. Now he’s back dropping heat on DC.

Taking the retro vibes of Hotdogs into more techno-orientated territory, he bunkered down with his family in the Swedish forest, setting up a makeshift studio in the kitchen. From this, the five-track ‘Into Desolation’ was born. Beginning with ‘Recluse’, it combines steely bass rumbles with old skool stabs and a heady vocal from Mikaela Rahmqvist. ‘Basshunter’ is propelled by galloping bass and a catchy undulating melodic loop and is brilliant in its effective simplicity. ‘Into The Early Night’ is a pearl, comprising deep compression-heavy bass stabs, perky percussion and a rousing vocal, making it a winner at festivals so far this summer, including Awakenings. ‘Ignition’ fires on all cylinders with a wicked arpeggiated hook and pounding drums. ‘Ride’ is a nostalgic nod to the past as trance-inspired chords marry deliciously with crunchy future-focused techno.

“Sueño“ is the continuation of @djgigola and @kevkoko ‘s collaboration, and marks the 6th installment of Live From Earth Klub imprint (LFEK006). The 2-track-release presents two different ideas of club music. The lead track, “Sueño“ (Side A) is a dreamy yet bass-driven composition featuring DJ Gigola’s soft vocals. Side B shows a breaky high-energy approach towards nostalgic rave culture. The EP will be released February 14th 2020 in digital formst as well as limited press of 500 hand numbered vinyl copies.
