I recorded this whilst I away on the other side of the world, away from all that I know and those that I love, also away from social media for weeks. travelling is one of my favourite things to experience, but it's sometimes met with a sadness when I'm doing it alone.

I've been listening to ambient records to help with my anxiety and overall healing for many years, it's been something I've wanted to record for several years but I just haven't found myself in the place to do so. It's filled with vulnerability, more than anything I've ever released before and I didn't want to hold back on my feelings for this. it's a mixture of beautiful tracks I've loved for years as well as self produced sounds. It may fill you with sadness, it may relax you, it may make you feel loved.. all I know Is that it's filled with my heaviest emotions. enjoy fam <3

Inspired by the intensity and beauty of female sexuality and empowerment, Rapture in Bloom follows the arc of a story: a powerful woman meets a lover in a club, and through grit, sensuality, and euphoria, their encounter unfolds with escalating intensity. Musically, the EP draws on deep grooves and sensual textures, weaving the influence of ‘90s house & techno into the fabric of contemporary house.

I wanted to create a piece of music, inspired by my favourite and the most beautiful dance floor I’ve sweat on. 
pano_ramic was equally inspired by it’s definition: including all aspects of a subject- I wanted to explore the deepest depths of disco & classic house and educate + take you on a melodic story of fun, bright sounds filled with vocals of love, to the sassy & sexiest of piano filled house beats, with feministic/powerful vocals. 
panorama bar has provided me with so much love, excitement, tears and beautiful moments with friends & chosen family.. this special, extended 4hour mix will take you on a journey of my favourite sounds, we're gonna start slow & groovy, then we're gonna get down right nasty.. 
this is the first time I’ve created a set inspired by a room and how it has made me feel as a dancer, but also how it has made me feel as a musician. 
I’ll provide you all with a soundtrack on that floor one day and we’ll be jacking into the night together.

the continuation of the story of pano_ramic, I wanted to create something a little bit harder & deeper than the first part of the story. there's a lot of new sounds in there that I have been very inspired by lately, as you know this mix is a journey through my eyes of a set at Berlin's panorama bar, a place I consider a home. 
recorded through a blend of cdj + vinyl, this mix is a special baby to me and I'm very proud of it!

Berlin-based, London born DJ & CONTR4ST Label owner, fka.m4a has become a stalwart of underground music with a heady blend of Italo, HI- NRG and House. With several Boiler Room appearances under his belt - clocking up over half a million streams combined - plus shows everywhere from Berghain / Panormar Bar, Timewarp, Tomorrowland to Awakenings, features in Mixmag and Electronic Beats, plus Peggy Gou in his corner as a mentor, his stock is firmly on the rise. 

Born in London, music was always front and centre in his family home, his mother playing music to him through headphones while he was still in the womb. Citing acts whose USP was female empowerment as the first music he found for himself, the likes of Spice Girls and Lil Kim were early musical influences, eventually leading him to start DJing on the queer scene in London. 

“I was working on the Soho & East London circuit” he says. “I was mainly doing guestlist and hosting but eventually they asked me to DJ and I spent a few years cutting my teeth on that scene.” 

Learning how to work a crowd as a pop DJ, seeing Honey Dijon DJ on his first trip to Berlin in 2016 led him down the rabbit hole of electronic music and led to a shift in his focus. 

“I completely fell in love with the storytelling element of her set,” he says. “I spent the next year immersed in dance music culture and started playing the electronic room at gay nights.” 

Moving to Berlin in 2019, the pandemic quickly put a stop to his burgeoning DJ career before a switch to recording streams from his apartment during covid saw his profile blow up, leading to signing with an agency and bagging his first Panorama Bar set when lockdown lifted. 

With Peggy Gou taking him under her wing and asking him to regularly open for her (“She’s helped me out so much and we have a really strong relationship,” he says. “She calls me her daughter and I call her my mother,” he laughs.), fka.m4a’s schedule got hectic with sets everywhere from Warehouse Project to Sonar and a focus on producing their own music. 

“It’s important for me to make music that works in the club,” he says. ‘But most importantly, it’s about making something that comes straight from the heart. I think I’ve achieved that on my first EP and I can’t wait for people to connect with it.” 

With an event series in the pipeline and a summer stacked with festival shows from Hï Ibiza to Terminal V, fka.m4a has firmly cemented himself as one of the leading artists in the underground space.
