Watch out with the bleep that rises as we start the new decade. For our series number fifty-one, we receive the talent of BFTT (@bftt) and his fascination for dancehall techno and stirring selections marked by fast-pace and frenetic beats. 

BFTT is a resident at Mutualism collective (@mutualismuk) who also takes care of the Leeds-based club night Leftovers (@leftoversuk) while he enhances release after release a unique way of approaching into the future-forward dance music. 

Look out for his leftfield contributions in releases at labels such as @cong-burn, @tobago-tracks, @whities and more recently at @gobstopper-records with his "Versioning" solo EP.

Since 2015, 1020 Radio has been nurturing Bristol's music culture alongside an inspiring team of local and international artists. Championing creativity, diversity and community has been the driving force of all our projects, and we're excited to bring this to a new medium in the form of our compilation series "1020 Curated"; a showcase and celebration of the street-level sounds of which 1020 is built on.

Kicking off the first edition is long-standing resident and Sheffield based producer "unperson", who has curated a 25 track manifesto featuring the station's artists and associates, where the heritage of Bristol's lauded soundsystem culture provides the foundation for new structures of dubwise rave architecture, whilst exploring abstract sonic territories and monolithic soundscapes.

Available exclusively from Bandcamp on Friday April 24th, the first 25 copies come bundled with a premium 350gsm print designed by Montag Freedoms. All proceeds will be donated directly to the charity ‘Above & Beyond’, raising vital funds to support the wellbeing of frontline NHS staff and volunteers, who are tackling the unprecedented challenge of providing care against COVID-19.
