Hailing from the same town as 90's Hip-Hop Legends "Naughty By Nature," East Orange native Semaj Spitz has been trying to make a name for himself.
With songs ranging from everyday life that isn’t shown by the stereotypical media, Semaj Spitz proves why his music is different amongst the typical rappers
 
“I came from a place where music, movies and everything in between glorifies, sex, drugs and materialistic things. I used to glorify it as well but then realized it made me feel really empty inside. I tried to fill that void by rapping about how great I was , or [When I was single] rapped about how bad my girls are, but it really caused me to feel worthless.”
 
When Spitz came to this realization, he took a small hiatus on rapping & recording, and took the time to start learning how to make beats. In the process he found Jesus after going through various trials & tribulations.
 
“I literally was in the car with my wife and heard God’s voice come to me, telling me that the reason I’m not where I wanted to be in music, was because I wasn’t humble.”
 
Knowing exactly where it came from, Spitz changed his ways and came to an agreement that all of his music may not directly glorify/praise God, but NONE of it will go against God’s standards.
 
In 2018, Semaj Spitz dropped EP “Monet Lisa” dedicated to his now wife, proposed to her after performing the songs to her privately.
In 2020, he dropped debut album, “In Case You Lose Footing” which all beats were produced by him.
