Nark, aka Kevin Kauer, founder of Bottom Forty and Nark Magazine, has devoted his life to dance music and club culture. For the last decade, he's helped cultivate Seattle's queer community, running a kaleidoscope of above and underground nightlife events including party/political movement Dickslap, a series of annual alternative Pride festival weekends, and the programming at Q Nightclub where he served as resident and creative director. For GhostlyCast #81, Nark delivers a marathon mix that serves as an emotional release and celebrates a recent revelation. "This year was about realizing I'm already exactly where I want to be and surrounded by boundless talent and energy here in the Seattle scene," he says. "Over the years of traveling the world and playing all these cool parties and making new friends and colleagues, I've only to come to realize how hard it is for anyone to separate friendship from competition; it puts a heavy emotional toll on so many people in the scene that builds exponentially, and it can really bring you down. For me, making this mix was about representing myself exactly the way I feel, not up to anyone else's standard. It's about letting go of the things I thought I wanted to chase after and instead, being in the present with myself, our scene and the people around me who need and support me as much as I do them."

Recess is a long time advocate for Underground Dance Music and community building in the Northwest.  As a dj, Recess always brings a fresh perspective to the decks with an array of sounds and textures that ranges from techno to house, tribal, electro, disco, and more.  He melds underground classics with hard to find electronic gems keeping each set unique and one of a kind. 
His renowned efforts with Shameless Productions have pushed the envelope over the years in the PNW, introducing our community to fresh new talent while maintaining diverse line ups, safe environments, and everything else to help keep our underground  lovely & weird <3 . Seattle doesn’t have it’s edge without the efforts of Recess and the Shameless family.  
We were fortunate to have him make a special (and rare January ) appearance for the first Flammable of 2019 and drop a beautiful set that would be described as a heartfelt love note to Flammable Sundays.  Thank you Dan!

Mr. Linden has been making a solid name for himself in the NorthWest’s dance community over the past few years with some beautiful sets and a ton of positive community support with the SCOHM family.  His consistent efforts, dedication, and passion have caught the ears & hearts of many and earned him a chance to share his sounds with the Flam Fam!
Take a moment to enjoy Mr. Linden’s journey through an assortment of house sounds that really gives you an idea of what he has to express as a dj.

Mr. Linden moved to Seattle from the frozen North with a ton of radio experience in electronic music that was fueled by his appreciation for the robust rave scene that transpired up in Alaska. His growing love and fascination for music inspired him to pursue Djing on a bigger level in Seattle and motivated him to get his hustle on!  Our thriving Seattle scene has provided Mr. Linden with some valuable teachings and helped him evolve his ‘classic, jackin’, and deep’ sound to a level that is adored by many.  He’s a joy to listen to or share a spot on the dance floor.  We’re looking forward to more from this talented soul!

And among all this a track of the famous north american jazz artist Stanley Turrentine masterfully reinterpreted by The Reflex.

Doza a.k.a. Carlos Mendoza (of LawnChair Generals and Hunt & Gather) is very aware of the effect the gloomy Seattle climate has on his music. It's even a point of pride. The weather can drive the city’s music makers indoors and underground, where they cooperate on technique, equipment and events; music makers like Pezzner, Lusine, Hanssen, Raica, Mat Anderson. The camaraderie influences the music, as does the low light. If you're any fan of deep house you've likely heard Doza’s music. Carlos has been contributing to the global house music underground since 2001 as one half of LawnChair Generals, one of the most respected early 00’s house music duos in the U.S. Doza’s solo sound could be considered deeper, darker, more textured than the early works of LawnChair Generals. The first Doza remix of Hanna's "Time" on Viva Recordings in 2002, with its dubbed-out pads and hypnotic rhythms, foreshadowed his future body of work. His Get Physical debut “Ixchel”, “The Doza E.P.” on Doc Martin’s Sublevel imprint, and the sweeping "In Waves E.P." on Supremus Records exemplify Doza’s recurring theme: simple and articulate rhythms carrying strong and evolving narratives that draw the audience in. In 2015 Doza partnered with Pezzner and Michael Manahan on Hunt & Gather Records to deliver forward-thinking music to the world’s discerning dancefloors.
