"This was my second year in a row playing at The Cityfox Odyssey in which the first year I played was in the downtempo/ambient room.  When I wasn't djing at the event on New Years 2018 I was spending the majority of my time in Gunita's Tavern. So when New Years Eve 2019 came around I naturally wanted to be part of the Gunita's Tavern because of it's really heady vibe and underground feel that was a nice departure from the large rave it was a part of. It was also a place where you could unwind from the large crowds and the odds were better that you would run into a friend or more to have a good conversation while enjoying a drink. 

Rave culture had a lot of momentum coming into 2020 with optimism and excitement that had been building for most of that decade which resulted in more festivals and events due to popular demand. So ending the decade and bringing in a new one at The Cityfox Odyssey because Cityfox had been producing top notch events during this time period was special. I played during New Years day from 6-8pm while Jamie Jones and then Ame & Dixon were playing in the main room so the vibe was thick in the building. The crowd was in prime time form and they brought the energy that was the catalyst for my set. I instantly felt comfortable in the surroundings as a result and spent most of my time after my set in the tavern soaking up the vibes from the dj's sets that played after me. I stayed until the end in the tavern like I did the year before to conclude another memorable New Years day at Gunita's Tavern at The Cityfox Odyssey."

Crossfade Sounds welcomes Belgian producer Dream Cycle Inc. for his label debut with the It Feels Like Healing EP. The project is the creative outlet of Jan, an artist whose formative years were shaped by the adventurous spirit of the 90s, when labels such as Planet Dog and acts like Eat Static, Banco De Gaia, and Future Loop Foundation fused trance, dub, ambient, and drum & bass into forward-thinking hybrids. These early influences, together with the psychedelic voyages of compilations like Feed Your Head and Dubnology, continue to resonate in Dream Cycle Inc.'s work, where echoes of techno-infused dub and liquid drum & bass find their way into deep, meditative frameworks.

The EP features two original compositions from Dream Cycle Inc., each reflecting his passion for bridging atmospheres with rhythm and narrative. Adding depth to the release, Belgian artist ZeroA returns to the label with two reworks that leans into his own textured aesthetic, while Romanian producer Silishteanu delivers an alternate interpretation, both remixers being well-regarded names within the Crossfade Sounds catalogue.

Here's an hour long live recording of from a very special "Sup3fr3q" warehouse party with Mr. C in Dallas, Texas in October 2011.   I submitted the mix to the monthly Proton Radio show Circular Sound Radio for it's January 2012 installment.   

The show is run by my great friend (and absolutely amazing producer) Barry Jamieson aka Mono Electric Orchestra who also heads up Circular Sound Recordings... a label which specializes in amazing modern techno with a slant towards the dance floor.

Doza a.k.a. Carlos Mendoza (of LawnChair Generals and Hunt & Gather) is very aware of the effect the gloomy Seattle climate has on his music. It's even a point of pride. The weather can drive the city’s music makers indoors and underground, where they cooperate on technique, equipment and events; music makers like Pezzner, Lusine, Hanssen, Raica, Mat Anderson. The camaraderie influences the music, as does the low light. If you're any fan of deep house you've likely heard Doza’s music. Carlos has been contributing to the global house music underground since 2001 as one half of LawnChair Generals, one of the most respected early 00’s house music duos in the U.S. Doza’s solo sound could be considered deeper, darker, more textured than the early works of LawnChair Generals. The first Doza remix of Hanna's "Time" on Viva Recordings in 2002, with its dubbed-out pads and hypnotic rhythms, foreshadowed his future body of work. His Get Physical debut “Ixchel”, “The Doza E.P.” on Doc Martin’s Sublevel imprint, and the sweeping "In Waves E.P." on Supremus Records exemplify Doza’s recurring theme: simple and articulate rhythms carrying strong and evolving narratives that draw the audience in. In 2015 Doza partnered with Pezzner and Michael Manahan on Hunt & Gather Records to deliver forward-thinking music to the world’s discerning dancefloors. The latest fruits of this union are Doza's disco-tech stormer "The Nautilus" followed by chord-bliss "Andy, Wally & Ray", released to enthusiastic support from international artists Âme, John Digweed, Dixon, LTJ Bukem, M.A.N.D.Y., Danny Tenaglia, Seth Troxler, and more.

I've known Leo since we were kids, he's from my town. From the kid in my town to successful dj, producer, promoter and a very important and well respected face and cog in the wheel of the London and UK House Music Scene. 
A knowledgeable and prolific record collector he is generous with his music and time for others, nice fella.
Leo's productions tend to get very gradually more housey and trippy as they progress which makes it fun to carry out some nice long mixes and mess with them a bit.

This episode is a tribute to the black artists hailing mainly from Chicago and Detroit. Who have been a massive influence on the global dance music scene since the very beginning. #BlackLivesMatter

Fred Everything aka Frédéric Blais was brought up in Quebec City. 

In the early 90s, he started playing live in raves and clubs in Canada. He was then known as "Everything", because his live sets could range anywhere from techno to house, ambient and even drum and bass. 

Fred Everything's career as a DJ began in 1993, when he opened for Sasha at the Metropolis club night in Montreal. After building up a reputation in the US and Canada, he moved to Montreal in 1996, where he released many records under various record labels, including 20:20 Vision, with whom he went on to release a total of 20 records including his widely successful album "Under the Sun" in 2000.
