Earlier this year Desert Dwellers released their most diverse album in the duo's long career. The Great Mystery was the first full length collaborative project just between the main founders Amani Friend and Treavor Moontribe, and featured a wide range of styles and aesthetics from downtempo and psychedelic dub to tribal trance to exotic house and techno flavors.

To celebrate the special release, Desert Dwellers have curated an ambitious two-part remix album with a total of 25 contributions from some of the brightest luminaries and rising talents across the underground electronic music landscape. The Great Mystery Remixes Part 2 is slated for a November 1st release on the DD Bandcamp page, and features sonic reinterpretations from Emancipator, Aligning Minds, Mumukshu, Sixis, David Starfire, Whitebear, Erothyme, Mystral, Master Minded, Halfred & Enzalla, Lulacruza, Bumble, Soohan, and Supersyllius. With artists from across the globe and musical genres, these carefully crafting renditions of Desert Dwellers' The Great Mystery are a potent combination of immersive soundscapes that pay a loving tribute to the original compositions.

Besides being such an honor to be Merkaba Music's representative as label dj, I received with great affection the invitation to idealize the last episode of Textures Mixes Series.

My choice was to tell a story based on the range of 4x4 sounds that label sets out to explore, as well as because of the engagement I have had as a dark progressive DJ for almost 15 years.

In this mix I set out to contemplate the variety of Merkaba Music psytrance tracks, among the new and old tunes of which I most identify and which bring the atmosphere of the label in an ancestral and futuristic mystical combination.
