David Castellani presents ‘Requiem EP’ on his new Noetic imprint, including two explosive & hypnotic originals accompanied by a deep remix via boundary pushing producer Etapp Kyle.

Italian modular synthesist David Castellani will release ‘Requiem EP’ on his newly launched label Noetic this February. Following a string of stand-out releases featuring revered remixers the EP is armed with a rework from Ukrainian producer Etapp Kyle, and follows the launch of Castellani’s ‘Metanoia’ set via Mixmag.

Opening proceedings is ‘Requiem’. Using syncopated rhythms carried on a thunderous kick, Castellani creates a deep Utopian atmosphere. The dense reverb has a hypnotic element, while metallic swipes and an elusive saw wave spiking in the background maintains the celestial feeling. Higher frequencies are exerted during the tracks breakdown, intensifying matters before diving back into the hypnosis. 

Next up is the fiery rework from Etapp Kyle. Maintaining the main riff and coy saw wave, he shifts the drumwork into a sputtering, punchy affair. Using distortion and changing the octave of the main sample, the Ukrainian producer pivots the original into an energetic stomper.
Closing out is Absentia, a buoyant and cosmic expedition compiled of jagged chord and gated synth rhythms. Hi-hats open & close throughout along with elastic analogue bleeps that evolve and intertwine around the driving drumwork.

Label head Florian Meindl continues the high output with a live recording of "Going Outside" which was recorded during one of his Studio Streams on Twitch "FLASH_LAB" Channel.
Turnmills was releaed already, but this version is a special half speed render which has a tripping twist and can be played between two straight tracks.
Ebb and Flow was recorded live during one of Florian's Youtube videos for Riemann Kollektion on the Moog Subharmonicon and DFAM Synth.

San Francisco's Max Gardner returns to Northern Parallels for its nineteenth release with two hard-nosed, synth-driven, psychedelic peak time tracks, Spatial and Maxaroni. 

Remix duties come from Chicago's Jason Patrick and label head Mike Derer. Both providing strong interpretations.

Soma welcomes Cologne based DJ/Producer Johannes Schuster to the label for his full debut with the Panic EP. After appearing on one of the early Collective Process VA’s, the up and coming artist set about crafting a fully fledged EP for the label. This new 4 track release explores Johannes’ sound in depth and he shows off his many various inspirations, delivering a solid, powerful debut Soma EP. 

After the twisted and dark intro of Reflect, Johannes wastes no time is bringing out the big guns with title track Panic. An absolute powerhouse, 'Panic'’s hard hitting, thunderous drums pound out the rhythms as crunching percussive workouts create the drive. 'Pressure' continues in a similar vein with industrial overtones leading to massive, super saw synths that sear through the track. 'Rush' closes out the EP on a bit of a curveball and Johannes drops a crafty and menacing breaks/DnB infused monster!
