Hello party people, the time is almost upon us for the craziest weekend of our lives, yes thats it .. the return of the Tidy Weekender, Me & Justin are privileged to be smashing it up on the Friday night at this weekender and hope to see you all there in full force, 

Anywhooo, this is my promo mix, for those of you that dont know ..this was the first ever mix i did which is 5 years ago now, BUT unless you followed me from the start you wouldn't have heard it as soundcloud wasn't around back then, its a fine blend of hard trance and uplifting hard house and i thought it deserved to be heard by a fresh audience, especially as a fair few of the tunes are Tidy too it makes sense that i use this as a promo mix,

Jamie.R-DJ Presents - The 'IDEAL TIDY WEEKENDER' Promo Mix [Hard Trance/Hard House]

Jeff Burch's first solo full-length album is comprised of two expansive instrumental compositions anchored by beautiful old acoustic guitars and a modular synthesizer.

He hoists his sounds up through the remnants of the 60's downtown drone spirit, through the fetid fruits of post-war central Europe and the scattered output of present-day suburban outsiders. The arrangements shift gracefully from floods of lush string texture to driving guitar and drum motif, from ebbs of brass and deep electric sine wave to thick hazes of clanging din and steely whine.

This was the set I performed at the Ideal Tidy Weekender in April 2014. The set theme was the History of Hard Trance. Rather than try to do an extensive run through an hour's worth of the history in order, I simply picked my favourite hard trance tracks from the years. A lot of these were tracks which were instrumental to me wanting to produce the sound. I also played three of my own productions, two old ones which I felt really made an impact for me, and also my latest brand new track 'Rollcage' to finish. It was one of the most enjoyable sets I've played in so long, was a different spin for me and meant a lot to play all these amazing records. I hope you enjoy the free download!
