Casino of Montréal presents the 21st edition of the 24 Hours of Vinyl, part of the official Nuit Blanche in Montréal programming.

The world’s first “around the clock” musical marathon dedicated to vinyl records & DJ culture returns for its unmissable annual edition at the Nuit Blanche in Montréal.

Since 2011, in over 20 editions around the world (London, New York, San Francisco, Toronto, Paris, Vancouver), the event has showcased over 200 DJ’s and record collectors.

For the 21st edition we present a musical trip around the clock with some of Montreal’s best DJs coming together to celebrate the love of vinyl records with this marathon created by the team behind Music Is My Sanctuary.

Over 12 DJs will relay using only vinyl records for 24 consecutive hours to which dancers and music lovers are invited to boogie from the comfort of their house. A full day focused on the discovery and sharing of music without borders, from jazz to electronic and soul.

Born and raised in Montréal, Canada, DJ SUGARFACE BELFO is an Egyptian-Portuguese lovechild inspired by ancestral rhythms, funky basslines, and infectious grooves from world beats, house, funk and psychedelic soul. 

Co-founder of Flat Cola, a non-profit initiative supporting female DJs, SUGARFACE BELFO spearhead International Women’s DJ, an online festival and conference with local and online radio, such as CJLO (Montreal), Radio Paax (Mexico City), and Radio Flouka (Paris), spotlighting amazing female DJs from around the world!

"From ethereal textures to downtempo bass, deep house, and beautiful African rhythms amalgamated in electronic music, this mix honours the works (and reworks) of fabulous female producers whose art I greatly respect and admire. Whether they be representing my hometown of Montréal or friendly encounters met through my work with Flat Cola, I have been fortunate to exchange with many of these great women on a professional, if not personal, level. It is my honour and privilege to share their works with you today."

Live from Boogie Montréal (9/2/22) we have our first live music (hybrid drums/DJ) contribution to Boogie Radio!

Salin Cheewapansri, aka Salin, is a Thai-born, Canadian based drummer and producer. From playing on Dominique Fils-Aimé's Juno award-winning-album 'Stay Tuned' to sharing the stage with Ariane Moffat, Madame Ghandi, Sans Pression, and Dabin to name a few, Salin introduced the world to her own debut album 'Cosmic Island' in 2021.

“Cosmic Island” is a soul/funk album that combines infectious grooves, soulful harmonies and contemplative lyrics. It has been critically acclaimed by the CBC, Le Devoir and Earmilk, with songs being featured on several international radios and Spotify playlists. Salin, joined by a 10-piece live band, “The Infinite Connection,” has had the privilege to perform at several festivals, including the POP Montreal Festival (2021) and Montreal International Jazz Festival (2022).

Salin is currently writing her second album.

@la-chik is a French DJ of Tunisian descent based in Paris. Her relationship with music is tightly linked with dance, her first love. She wants to cross the boundaries of traditional genres by feeding on different beats and energies in order to liberate the body and set the dancefloor on fire. She warns you! Get ready because you're going to sweat on Reggaeton, Baile, Afro or Bass music. Active member of the Venus Club (a feminist group that works for inclusivity in the DJ and music industry) and resident at Radio Flouka, La Chikh is committed to developing an inclusive and safer stage for minorities and women.

International Women’s DJ (IWDJ) - presented by @flatcola - is an online radio festival and conference dedicated to showcasing and broadcasting the works of amazing women DJs from around the world, in honour of International Women’s Day, March 8.
