El Dj, Productor y diseñador grafico empieza su carrera abriéndose paso en la escena local de Gran Canaria junto al colectivo Pub Pelukas. Sus sesiones se mueven entre los 80 y 180 bpms tocando estilos como el amapiano, Qqom ,uk funky , uk garage, speed garage, jersey club,jungle y drum & bass.

Fundador y residente en la Sala Razzmatazz con su fiesta suave ha girado tambien por cabinas de gran parte de España y Europa asi como participar en el festival Sónar y la Boiler Room que tuvo lugar en su Gran Canaria natal

Now expanding into a label and experimental home for producers to explore their own versatility, traverse presents its debut compilation: traversée. An eight-track VA of moods and grooves that skips between styles and bpms through a collection of atmospheric pieces designed directly for the dancefloor.

Encouraging artists to explore creative avenues that they would have otherwise passed by, traverse is a space to share new ideas and personal reflections that aren’t tied to any one convention or formula.

I knew Hyas would transform it in a Juke banger. The blend between this soft voice and the crazy bass makes it a perfect for the club, a bit melancholic and makes you want to give everything on the dancefloor."

DJ.MC is a producer/DJ from the south side of Chicago. He got into music and dancing through the Chicago Bud Billiken parade as a child and joined the South Shore Drill dance team, marching to Ghetto House.  He started producing after hearing a mixtape by DJ Gant-Man who mentored him bonding with the footwork dance Clique Goon Squad. He appeared on Planet Mu's 'Bang & Works' compilation, released an EP on Hyperdub and did his first Moveltraxx appearance earlier this year in the 'Let Me See Your Footwork 3' project alongside DJ Manny, Jana Rush and DJ Earl. We are thrilled to release his new 5 tracks EP that encompass everything we love about the genre while showcasing MC's unique style and including a collaboration with chitown legend DJ Chip.

Flat Earth records seeks to connect political statements and electronic music just like pionners such as Drexciya or Underground Resistance did.

Our first release is inspired by "Discipline and Punish" written by the french philosopher Michel Foucault. The music and lyrics speaks about the Cambridge Analytica scandal or the cheap labor of black people jailed in the US.

In his book Michel Foucault evokes The Panopticon, an architectural concept created by Jeremy Bentham. It is based on a circular prison with a central tower. It allows a single watchman to observe every prisoner without them knowing. So the people in cells have to assume they are always under observation.
We can draw an analogy with the internet surveillance where our data are collected by government's intelligence service or private companies.

When we consider conspiracy theories, the key notion is cognitive bias. Flat Earth seeks to express the flawed part inside each of us: our distorted and distorting perception of reality; our capacity to twist reality in order to suit our beliefs; our fantasies and fears, which stick on what we don’t know or on what we lost faith for. Each of us perceives reality in a different way, implying that multiple realities exist.
