Born in Quanah, Tx, Raised in Bakersfield, Ca.    Moved to Santa Barbara at age 13. Went to Dos Pueblos High, graduated, got hitched, then moved to Prescott, Az at age 18 where I pursued Music/Art. Joined the 'Leroy B. Band', played at the Birdcage Saloon, etc.    Then in 1983 I Moved to Dallas area.   Auditioned and was hired by 'Flashback' (a 7 piece band). Worked with them from '85'-89 as Lead/Backup vocalist. My stage name was 'Sparkles'.    Moved to Amarillo, Tx. Sang lead/backup for 'Kracker Jack' for 6 mo's.   Took a road trip to Nashville to pound pavement for several months where I met 'Faron Young' who told me my songs were great but I was too old, (I was 37).    He suggested I go back where I came from, which I did...back to Amarillo....where I still pursue the illusive Dream, yet no longer get my hopes up!  Gotta take life as it comes and do the best we can with what we've got!     As always, life is unpredictable....a 'Roller-Coaster Ride' on steroids through the great 'Unknown'!

FLavakery was born in St Andrew, Jamaica on April 3, an aries baby. At the age of 10 FLavaKery began singing in choirs from public school to high school and chruch, she graduated with excellence in music. At the age of 11 she began taking piano lessons she has a total of three years playing the piano and seven years playing the Flute.
 FLavakery is like no other, her influences are Aretha Franklin, Tina Turner, Aaliyah, Lauren Hill, Nas, Asap Rocky, Whitney Huston, Busta Rhymes, Vybez Kartel, Beenie man, Boys to Men, and Envouge.
