"Débarquant de l’underground à visages masqués, les trois compères de KillaSoundYard reviennent en force avec un nouvel EP de 5 titres toujours plus militants ! En attendant les versions Dub et un vinyle 10″, « Les Bas Fonds » sort le 6 février 2017 chez Root’Zik Production. 

Après la sortie en avril 2015 d’un premier album éponyme remarqué et remarquable, KillaSoundYard (KSY) n’a pas chômé, mettant sa musique libertaire au service de vidéos engagées. Suite à la « Live Dub Session » du titre ‘No War’ (voir la vidéo), on a notamment pu entendre le trio parisien au générique du court-métrage sarcastique « Etat d’Alerte sa mère » de Sebastien Petretti. 

La musique de KillaSoundYard, puisqu’on en parle, est toujours aussi riche d’influences et fait de ce nouvel EP, « Les Bas Fonds » un modèle d’éclectisme et d’ouverture d’esprit. En seulement 5 titres, les compositions de KSY explorent les différentes facettes du Dub et du Reggae, passant ainsi d’un Rockers rythmé à du Stepper profond avec beaucoup d’aisance [...] 

Le travail collectif étant une autre marque de fabrique de KillaSoundYard, on notera les collaborations avec le chanteur Jacko sur le titre ‘Freedom for Palestinians‘, le batteur Simon Roger du groupe City Kay sur ‘Dub Night’, le guitariste Greg Emonet, ainsi que Tristan Josse pour ce qui est de l’artwork !"

SOUVENIRS. Cette année, Brain Damage fête ses 20 ans d’activité musicale. Avant lui, Kaly Live Dub, High Tone ou encore Zenzile ont fêté leur deux décennies de dub l’an dernier ou juste avant... La scène dub live française a 20 ans ou un peu plus aujourd’hui. Elle a explosé à la fin du siècle dernier avec un dub joué live (et non seulement avec des machines) et s’est nourrie de diverses influences et expérimentations en mêlant de nombreux genres : reggae, rock, jungle, hip hop, electro, drum & bass... Retour sur cette période décomplexée et foisonnante et la décennie qui suit avec 20 titres 100% vinyles et 100% dub live français !

Jet setting Rub-a-Dub-Junglist FLeCK is a producer and DJ whose name’s on everybody’s lips when it comes to fresh Jungle bangers, wobbling 140 workouts and bringing warmth to a room full of happy, dancing people.

FLeCK is an electronic music producer and DJ, signed on Dread Recordings and Serial Killaz Recordings. Born in Athens, Greece, he started his musical journey in the mid 90’s and today his sound has spread worldwide.

FLeCK’s music is characterized by a Roots Reggae Dub vibe mixed with futuristic Jungle breaks and fat bass sounds. It has found its way into the record boxes of the likes of Public Enemy’s DJ Lord, Rusko and many other big names in the game around the world such as Congo Natty, Jumping Jack Frost, Kenny Ken, Ray Keith, 2 Bad Mice, Altern8, Nicky Blackmarket, as well featuring on Diplo’s Mad Decent blog and receiving massive worldwide radio support from London’s legendary Kool FM to BBC 1Xtra.

He has collaborated ,written and remixed tunes for artists like Zion Train, Mungo’s HiFi, Ray Keith, Congo Natty, Chopstick Dubplate, Aries, JStar, Soom T, Dj Solo, Dub Pistols, Taiwan MC, Earl 16 and many others. 

His music has been released on prestigious record labels around the world such as Scotch Bonnet, Jungle Cakes, Born On Road, Serial Killaz, Dread Recordings, Congo Natty Bass, ODG, Liondub International, Nice Up! and Universal Egg to name a few.

In recent years he has travelled the world playing clubs and big festivals (Outlook, Boomtown, Glastonbury, Seasplash, Overjam, Wee Dub, Incubate, Drop Beats Not Bombs, Let it Roll, Eden) regularly passing through Austria, UK, Spain, Netherlands, Italy, Slovenia, Finland, Croatia, Poland, Portugal, Germany and Greece. 

He has shared stages with Horace Andy, Alborosie, Congo Natty, Zion Train, Dub Pistols, Mungo’s Hi Fi, Aba Shanti-I, Stand High Patrol, Prince Fatty and many, many others and the clear message this sends out is that FLeCK’s love for sound system music is embraced the world over!

In 2015, 2016 and 2017 he was nominated as Best Breakthrough Producer and Best Breakthrough DJ at the We Love Jungle Awards.
