Hello folks, after a short break on Soundcloud and some fulminant Blank Wave parties with Perel, Shubostar and Lauer, we're back again with a highly anticipated double feature: Welcome Andi, the New York City-based DJ and producer, who is also founder of the dark synth and industrial party and label, Synthicide. She contributed this marvellous exclusive mix for our Blank Wave series and is also playing her debut in Frankfurt on our event on Saturday, June 16 2023, at ono2 accompanied by Shia LaBiff. 

Andi now holds her ninth-year residency at Brooklyn’s notorious venue Bossa Nova Civic Club. Her aesthetic combines her devotion to underground 1980s industrial, EBM, new beat, and sleazy synth whose dark beats create an exciting soundscape that is unarguably danceable. She has DJed all over the world and is known in niche music circuits for her ability to mix together older tracks with new ones to create a diverse and unique set. Additionally, Andi is part of the ItaloMatic crew, a resident at The Lot Radio, and a resident DJ at the dark 80s new wave night, Music For the Masses.

Her own productions aim to challenge the expectations within the confines of the masculine EBM genre, often focusing on the ideas of revenge and strength through a woman’s perspective. Andi released her first EP, Corpse to Corpus, on aufnahme + wiedergabe in 2020, the Torque Force split EP with Randolph & Mortimer on Mecanica Records in 2021 and recently the EP Compelling Evidence on a+w. Now available for pre-order via Mannequin Records is her Parafernales EP feat. Machino.

Zaatar زَعْتَر ’s music is the peculiar combination of both her origins : Moroccan and Belgian.

She finds her inspiration in the post punk and EBM movement of the late 80’ and early 90’. Her tracks are therefore built around a gritty and rough baseline that sets the mood for frenetic body dances. Melodies and sounds inherited from her home country -Morocco- completes her soundscape in a way that is her own. During her DJ sets she invites the public on a captivating journey from light to darkness, an oscillation between joy and melancholy sometimes punctuated by oriental melodies.

Arcade (@arcade-wro) known off-stage as Łukasz, is a deeply hidden figure in the Wrocław and Łódź underground dance music scenes. Preferring humility over social media fame, his musical journeys are marked by electrifying energy and a deep emotional bond with the crowd. He experiments with various genres, from breakbeat electro, EBM, dark disco to trance, progressive house, and hypnotic downtempo, displaying a versatility in style, rhythm, tempo and aesthetics.. 

On the promotional front, Łukasz co-founded 'Sygnały z Kosmosu,' a unique but short-lived event series that promoted Polish talent and showcased progressive, genre-blending sounds of trance, house, and italo disco. He's a part of 'Bracia Ufolec,' a duo he created with Primo Ultimo, added an element of sonic adventure to the series. 
An ally to Igrzyska Pizzy - a series merging a dance event with a culinary pop-up, serving a cutting edge pizza napoletana and balearic / italo delicacies at the same time. 

This mix features unmistakeable aesthetic of dark disco and EBM, lots of wavy vocals, driving arpeggiated melodies and dark bassliness mindling in the undergrowth of mechanical industrial techno.

undercling is a Naarm/Melbourne based DJ. A fan of dancing into the witching hours of parties, he’s slowly been making his way behind the decks over recent years. He’s played parties around Naarm, co-created the Saddle Club party series, and put mixes out on internet radio station, Area 3000. undercling is excited to contribute to the Fleisch mix series, citing the label as a major musical influence. The mix showcases many of the vanguards of neo-Italo, IBM, italo-trance, and dark disco.

We are delighted to welcome Extase Urbaine as the 16th guest on the Kaos London Podcast Series.

Hailing from Greece, DJ and producer Extase Urbaine has been gaining momentum, achieving international recognition in the electronic music scene with performances at renowned clubs such as Berlin's OXI, Amsterdam's RADION, and Athens' Astron, in addition to notable appearances at major events like the ADD festival in the Greek capital.

His DJ sets cross weave genres and scenes, blending everything from techno and electro to acid and trance-y explorations, or, as he aptly describes it, ‘body music for all bodies’.

While DJing remains his true passion, Extase’s own productions have garnered attention for their distinctive synth-wave orientation. With acclaimed releases already on Soil and Ferma records and an upcoming debut EP in the works.
