Dynamic D was born and raised near Rotterdam. He got infected with Italo Disco and all other kinds of synthesizer music that are well known as the Westcoast Electro Sound of Holland.

He released five mixes for Bordello A Parigi before he was asked to do his first live set in 2015. After that, he played at several underground parties in Holland, such as IFM Festival, Disco Total &Tutti. Outside Holland, he did a Mexico tour and conquered "Automaticamore" In Berlin as well as "Welcome to Rimini" in Hamburg.

As a resident at Rotterdam’s "Operator Radio" he mixes his favourite styles Italo Disco / Nu Disco / Dark Disco / Ebm / Synthpop & Indie Dance on a 4 weeks base since 2018.

For Naya Beats, Turbotito and Ragz have curated the 13-track compilation with a focus on an overlooked era of house and electronic music released between '88 and '94.

Following critically acclaimed releases with the likes of disco-jazz legend Asha Puthli and Manchester’s Mr. Scruff, Naya Beat Records is back with a lovingly curated selection from a forgotten era of South Asian house, street soul and downtempo. Daytime disco pioneer, remixer and Poolside founding member Filip Nikolic, aka Turbotito, and acclaimed DJ and record collector Raghav Mani, aka Ragz, are behind the series, a reference release for contemporary collectors, tastemakers and bold selectors looking for fresh sounds. Research for it has been ongoing for the last four years as part of a passionate mission to uncover and champion overlooked but pioneering artists from the subcontinent and South Asian diaspora to bring them to the fore.

No stone has been left unturned to ensure this is an authoritative and authentic selection taken from endless hunts through dusty records, obscure cassettes and unreleased studio tapes. While Volume 1 explored early 80s Balearic, synth pop, and disco, Volume 2 uncovers lost or forgotten future dance classics. They come from a time when fertile cross-cultural collaboration abounded in diasporic communities in cities like London and New York when acid house, New Beat, and dub were infused with South Asian sounds.

Often "too Asian for mainstream success in the West, and too Western for success in Asia," the pioneering music from this time was frequently released to short-lived success or relative obscurity. But now, these unsung heroes get their deserving moment in the spotlight. There is a true wealth of sounds here, from the house meets Eurodance club banger 'Bass Fire (On And On)' featuring Asha Puthli to the 90s Balearic anthem 'Calling' by the late Sangeeta, which, remixed by Turbotito and Ragz was the lead single for the album. Bappi Lahiri lends some street soul, the organ-fuelled house romp by The Jets Orkhestra is pure joy, and Mantra’s eponymously titled cut is a hypnotic gem. This double album is truly a treasure trove of never-before-reissued and previously impossible-to-find holy grails.

As dance music now comes full circle with daytime Asian raves back in vogue and South Asian DJs a part of the mainstream and underground circuits, there has never been a better time to pay tribute to the pioneers and with such an authoritative compilation.
Naya Beat Records is focused on uncovering foundational dance and electronic sounds from the subcontinent and South Asian diaspora through reissues, remixes and compilations. Success came immediately with Naya Beat Volume 1, which was named Vinyl Factory’s number 1 reissue of 2021, and has been followed up with more fascinating releases such as a reissue of Pinky Ann Rihal’s 1985 Hindi New Wave album, the superb Bollywood compilation Awaaz Series 1, and a two-part remix project with disco-jazz legend Asha Puthli.

Farloh has grown well acquainted with London’s rich club scene, he first developed his craft by playing local prestigious venues including The Cause and Brixton Courtyard. Having cut his teeth in bands in his earlier teenage years, he saw inspiration from guitar-based music and then took to crafting a unique club-ready sound in the years to come. Flemming Dalum, also know as King of the cut, discovered his musical journey at an early age. An interest based out of curiosity for electronic synthesizer legends emerging while he grew up. With his first synth, the Korg Polysix, a lifelong passion was born. He started playing in bands in 1982, experimenting with electronics and the new world of sounds and possibilities. At the same time he started experimenting with records and discovered a natural talent for mixing and blending synths with records, creating his own unique world of sound. In mind that the CD wasn't invented, neither was the HD recorder, the heart in Flemmings set-up was a simple cassette recorder. An invention that should soon add yet another angle to his musical universe. With snappy skills and imagination, the cassette soon became his most important instrument taking him to the next level. The world of mixing. With sampler, echomachine, decks, synths and a beloved cassette recorder, the first true mixes came out of his studio already in 1983. Mixes with so much detail, soon giving him the legendary name "King of the cut". In the same year, 1983, Flemming stumbled across Koto "Chinese Revenge", a discovery that should soon lead Flemming into a brave new world matching his own, with synths and electronics being the heart of the music. The passion became strong and shortly after the Koto discovery, brought him to his first trip to Milan, Il Discotto, Discomagic, Non-Stop, Merak etc. to investigate the Italo phenomenon in detail. The following years Flemming visited the Italian distributors 11 times which later proves to be one of the major reasons to the fact that he has one of the worlds most complete collections of Italo and Disco. Through the years, the synths has been replaced with computers and equipment matching the urge for mixing. Something that has kept the true Italo spirit alive and made Flemming Dalum a legend in mixing today.
