That guy is me, exactly 50 years ago, after a soccer match. I was a decent, fast young footballer, but I stopped when I went to university. I  didn't grow tired of running after a ball, simply having other things to do; thinking I'd start again sooner or later. It only happened occasionally, over the years. Today I could go back to kicking a ball on a football pitch, but it's unlikely that I'd come out of there alive. And so, officially, I bury that part of my life in the archive of memories and play a little (and not sad) 'requiem'.

every face a mystery, 

  every step an adventure 

but the past followed me, 

especially in the cool of the evening.

but also loves left in my pocket, 

I have collected the crumbs of a desired dream,
