I was really impressed by the novel The Paul Street Boys,  what hit me is the profound sense of duty and sacrifice by Nemecsek a boy who apparently  seems to be weak and not reliable to contribute to win a battle, and despite the battle victory everyone lose. I have tried to imagine the feeling of Nemecsek and his fighting against disease  together with the strong will to win and redeem the "Fatherland". It points out important moral issue about futility of war.

narration: why do people keep telling me how great AI is supposed to be ….. when I feel like an extension of the intelligent machine already – in the mainly physical (mechanical and electrical) field and age, mental representation has a different function …. is this really a transformation of the self these people are looking forward to? - - - - sibyls have always had a non-human aspect, enticing and alienating humans the way the fair folk (or  Cassandra, for that matter) did
