'Indie House' is the 1st in the Series. Our inspiration for it came from our time playing live at venues around Sydney, Australia.

Flight Deck Minimix - Indie House

From an early age Chris La Sek's interest in music has always been vastly different to the kids around him. While others were listening to hit songs by the Wiggles and dancing with the muppets on "Sesame Street", Chris La Sek was raving to the song "right type of mood" by Herbie (if you havent heard it youtube it!) Teching out to Kraftwerk and Jean Michel Jarre and chilling to the sounds Spillers "Groove Jet" and Roger Sanchez.

In 2008 after years of watching, listening and learning from his electronic music heroes Chris bought his first CDJ's and the legend was born!
House parties across the North Shore began to be rocked by the sound of Chris La Sek's mix of music! 

People have been tripped out by his use of tech house, raved out by his dirty electro house, tripped out by his transcendent progressive house, sweated out from his pumping party anthems and chilled out by his funky house and nu disco. There is no sound that has not been off limits to this maverick of dance music, and in mid 2009 the wider clubland of Sydney experienced his intense mash-up of music.

After securing his first gig at the "Burdiken Hotel" on Oxford Street, Chris La Sek then went from strength to strength playing at well known night spots such as "Le Panic", "Hollywood Gossip" at "The Rouge", "Ghetto Disco" at "Q Bar", The Shelbourne Hotel, "Whaat Club", "The Sunday Sessions" at Castle Hill Tavern, Club 202 Broadway and The Kings Cross Hotel and as 2011 wears on that list is due to increase!



Chris La Sek is a DJ only beginning to bring the noise to the party people of Sydney! With his boundless energy and passion for dance music and the club scene he is an artist who is willing to push the limits of electronic music and make sure that the party people walk away from the dance floor feeling as though they have experienced clubbing on a whole new level!

Flight Deck is an Indie Funk cooperative of decks meeting percussion. Adding contemporary spice to your much-loved house tracks by combining Dj’ing with live drumming. Their musical abilities, stage antics and infectious energy generate a vibe you cannot help but enjoy!

Manning the decks we have Mike Wolf. Self proclaimed dolphin trainer and neurotic dishwasher collector, Mr Wolf spends most of his time in the studio mixing and mashing Indie house potions till his ears bleed. 6 years of DJ’ing has taken Mike to many Bars & Clubs around Sydney including The Burdekin, Good Bar, Cabana Bar, The Shelbourne, Favela, Shhh Bar…

Behind the drums is Mr Ed Rollo. With his unique ability to sleep with one arm in the air and efficient “never change lanes” driving skills adding an enormous contribution to his drumming dexterity. Ed has drummed with loads of musicians and played in most live music venues around Sydney, drumming beside an awesome DJ was the next step! He has played at sold out shows in the Basement and the Vanguard plus a few East Coast tours under his belt.

Together as Flight Deck has seen the boys rock the stage along side Kid Kenobi & MC Sureshock @ The Burdekin, Saturday night residency at Name This Bar, Secret Garden Festival 2012 (sold out), numerous Weddings, Christmas Parties and Corporate functions at locations such as Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre.

The boys have made the move to the northern hemisphere and are now based in Hong Kong! Stay tuned for more sounds influenced by their travels.
