Using a loop pedal, I recorded layers of different rhythms on the bodhrán (Irish drum), and a layer of low whistle accompaniment for a set of reels (tunes) to follow on tin whistle.  

All the sounds you hear on this recording were performed live by one person (me), with the assistance of a standard loop pedal usually used by guitarists.

The performance was at the Carlton Over 50s Group launch in April 2008 in Manchester, England.  
The tunes were:
Man Of The House (AKA Paddy McCarthy), The Merry Blacksmith, Toss The Feathers

Note that the first low whistle accompaniment was in E minor, so I removed it between the first and second tunes and replaced it with one in D major/mixolydian.

People And Places, my first ever album, first released in 2019, this album has a theme (not a concept album), the songs are simply about people and places, the people are real, the places are mostly metaphorical landscapes.

Going Down That Road Again

VOTE is my second album and like the first album it has a theme.  The songs here are all politically driven, issues that worry or frighten me about the way is going at the moment, the rise of the far right and social gaslighting / misinformation, conspiracy theories, environmental crisis, inequality and class division.

VOTE is my second album and like the first one it has a theme.  These are all political songs about things that worry me, I think you should be worried about them too.  The rise of the far right and media manipulation and misinformation, inequality and environmental issues.  As usual i have strived to make the songs melodic and memorable, not out of an interest in commercialism but because I want to write songs that stay in the consciousness of the listener and hopefully the public, if anyone ever listens to them.

Strange Thing

VOTE is my second album, like the first album it has a theme, this time the songs deal with concerns I have about the world today.  The rise of the far right, misinformation, environmental issues, inequality and war.  The songs all have a political theme.

Unknown Artist is my first release, it is an E.P. with 6 songs, different versions of the same songs from my first 3 albums, sort of a greatest hits, anyway, you can decide whether you prefer these versions, or the versions from my albums.
