Lindsey Wang draws direct influence from a beloved childhood cartoon, itself inspired by the ancient Chinese legend 'Journey to the West' and the iconic character Sun Wukong. In a retro-modern twist, the tracks vividly depict Sun Wukong's essence: 'Jindou Yun' embodies the swiftness of his cloud, 'Shen Wai Shenfa' invokes his magical hair with tribal rhythms, 'Ruyi Jingu Bang' mirrors his legendary staff's power, and 'Disha Shu' portrays his 72 Transformations through vibrant harmonics.

YYARD, also known as Yannis Anft from Cologne, brings his unique blend of musical styles to the forefront with the ‚San Astéria EP‘. This ninth release on our label infuses traditional breakbeats with dub and hip-hop influences.

Opening with ‚Swallow,‘ the EP sets an enchanting tone, featuring intricate synth sequences and rhythmic mastery that showcase YYARD‘s jazz influences. Following this mesmerizing start, the title track ‚San Astéria‘ offers a smoother, spheric vibe with its dub-infused beats and jazzy harmonies, creating a dreamy auditory landscape. The energy shifts with ‚Leisure Spleen,‘ which creates an irresistibly groovy atmosphere that makes it impossible not to move. Concluding the journey, ‚A Circle with Many Centers‘ wraps up the EP with its broad, expansive soundscape, where tribal drums meet dubby synths.

Following the introspective depths of Codonopsis and the provocative excursions of Rumex, we are proud to introduce Orbea - our third Various Artist release. This 15-track compilation continues our exploration of genre-melting sound. Once again, we’ve gathered a selection of artists from across the globe, weaving together their distinct styles into a sonic tapestry that defies easy categorisation.

Musically, Orbea is genre-fluid: from atmospheric ambient, classical, and textured noise to fractured breaks, raw electro and wave. This release carries a pulse between inertia and momentum, from the stillness of introspection to the kinetic energy that propels us outward. It’s an ode to contrast, a meditation on tension and release, and above all, a celebration of that which cannot be explained.

The creation of Orbea was as much about collaboration as it was about the music itself. Bright shines the light behind the mysterious silhouette of Acidgigi - is what you may think listening to his "Weirdo Jelly EP" coming out in March 2024 via bass music headz favorite Flippen Bits.
 The Milan-based producer makes his debut on the label with Weirdo Jelly EP, offering a fresh take on electronic dance music that is both adventurous and mysterious but elegant nonetheless.

While the entrancing repetitiveness of percussive loops on Weirdo Jelly EP are a love letter to the dance floor, there is a dedication to songwriting to be sensed that goes beyond functional club tunes.
Cinematic and melancholic, yet full of hope. Euphoric and immersive, yet effortlessly free. Across these three originals, Acidgigi carves out a sound that is uniquely his own.

Toronto’s Ciel adds a thrilling 90s inspired remix version of Silly Dub that fuses the dubby, percussive nature of the original with vocals chops into a trip of a dance floor tune.

Spread across two discs for maximum fidelity, this is sound system music with grooves primed for mixing and dialed-to-a-Tee bass weight, but hovering above the grounded structures are fleeting rhythmic textures that veer things off into a world worth getting lost in. Throughout its 11 tracks, “Club Dream” plays out like a full mix, ebbing and flowing through a variety of energy levels and moods. Some of the range you’ll find here includes half-time dream-step, peak time pulses, and dubbed out mid-tempo tech, all done with a cohesive restraint and appreciation of atmosphere.
