This reminds me of Nier: Automata for some reason - the sort of calmness that the game has but only because everything has been destroyed.

Patch notes: Minibrute 2's sine wave through its metallizer, with a noise-driven Doepfer sample&hold randomising the amount of "metallization". Omsonic RNF filter, with the cutoff controlled by the Minibrute's ADSR but also by velocity and mod wheel - all balanced via a Happy Nerding 3xMIA. The output goes via a Make Noise LXD (6db) to make silence silent, and then Erica Synths Black Hole DSP adds the delay and reverb (program 1).

Near Automaker

My first experiment with PixiTracker. A little chirpier than I'd like but it was SO EASY to make and that's just delightful. I literally made it on the tube, over three or four journeys.

Patch notes for those who care: Rings with some Clouds echo sown by a Dixie II, and reverb from the Erica Black DSP. Rings' Position modulated by Tides, Clouds' Position and Size modulated by Maths, as was the frequency of the Dixie II LFO that sowed the Clouds grains.

Dreamy floaty patch that mostly plays itself!

Patch notes: Black Wavetable VCO through omsonic Really Nice Filter (cycled by Maths) combines with Tides for the bassline. Rings, played by Kinks' sample and hold (tamed by Maths) through a uScale quantizer, is the melodic line over the top. Grids plays a Basimilus Iteritas Alter and an Akemie's Taiko for the drums. Clouds produces the weird echoes, and Radio Music makes the bird chirps (thanks to Tom Whitwell of Music Thing Modular for the sample), bitcrushed by a Doepfer A-189-1. The chord changes are done manually using a Tetrapad to shift voltages. Phew!

I make songs sometimes! Here I'm playing with electronic stuff and other things I can easily record in my spare room...

Noodle Soup is basically a scratchpad of synthy segments and ideas, which I can make quickly and then upload without worrying too much about producing them into a "real song". It's kindof my synthpop notebook!
