The original ‘Because Of You’ conveys someone’s deteriorating relationship with a loved one, while ‘Walk On Water’ is someone longing to get their past love back. Combined, this is almost like a conversation between them.

Porter Robinson and Madeon’s track 'Shelter' is about the loss of someone dearly close and the desire to carry one’s best experiences with him/her forward into the next generation. Conversely, NIKI’s track 'lowkey' tries to avoid such an attachment to someone else, as it’s about a relationship that one would like to keep under wraps — perhaps to tame the fire.

My mashup, however, tells the story of a budding romance that, while staying lowkey, culminates in a deep emotional connection where both parties feel Safe and Sound and have found Shelter in one another.
